Felix was especially friendly
This was one of the best flights that I have had in years.
Basic economy sucks and the fact that Orbitz doesn’t distinguish between basic economy and economy is equally a problem
Didn’t like I couldn’t get seat assignments until standing @gate but it worked out better than expected
My first flight was delayed due to the incoming flight. Our gate attendant David Williams did an amazing job working passengers who had connecting flights in Chicago. He was professional -- proactive in asking individuals to have their baggage ready to be placed under the plane. He kept the passengers updated on the delay. Offered alternative solutions to problems in a polite, professional manner and had a genuine caring attitude. It was a pleasure to have his assistance during the slightly stressful time.
small seats, uncomfortable
RIC to ORD, plane too small, especially in light of minimal room for carry-on luggage
Orbitz again did not apply my TSA Pre Check. If this isn’t changed immediately I will have no choice but to move to another site
We abided by United's new rules that prohibit full-sized carry-ons to be brouight into the plane. I checked by full-sized carry-on and bought a small underseat carryone to bring on board the plane. When I boarded the plane, however (flght 2008 ORD to YVR), I noticed that the rule wasn't being enforced, and everyone else on the plane had brought full-sized carry-ons -- and, as a result, there was no room at all left in the overhead bins when we got to our seats. My message to United would be: if you post rules about carry-ons, enforce them. If you aren't going to enforce them, don't post them.
Get away from the capital of Virginia and explore some of the most renowned landmarks in the Midwest with a flight from Richmond International Airport (RIC) to Chicago. From the Art Institute of Chicago at Grant Park to the Willis Tower in downtown, there's a myriad of iconic landmarks in the Windy City. If you plan to drive to the airport in Richmond, use Williamsburg Road or Interstate 64. When you fly from Richmond to Chicago, expect a travel time of about two hours.
Covering more than 300 acres along the shores of Lake Michigan, Grant Park is an urban oasis that's lined with some of Chicago's most visited attractions. The southern tip of the park is home to the Shedd Aquarium and The Field Museum. After looking at tropical fish and studying prehistoric fossils, take astrology lessons at the nearby Adler Planetarium. For an afternoon of shopping and fine dining, you'll want to visit the Magnificent Mile. This thoroughfare is marked by Chicago's tallest buildings, including the 100-story John Hancock Tower, which offers views of the city at the 360 Chicago observation deck.
The flight from Richmond takes you to Chicago s O'Hare International Airport (ORD). Freezing weather is common in Chicago during the winter with lows ranging from the teens to the 20s, and summer temperatures often peak in the high 80s. The Grant Park Music Festival and Chicago Festival Ballet are among cultural events held in Grant Park throughout the year.
