I traveled with my daughter and granddaughter who had been in a horrific car accident. They were in the hospital for a week and had just been released. We were on our way home and the staff was amazing. They were patient and helpful and so kind. We had special needs to lift my granddaughter from her wheelchair to her seat and they listened to our instructions making her pain less. Thank you so much
I like Delta. Just seemed better. More helpful about sitting together with an economy flight.
Great staff, all very friendly and helpful. When flight delayed very helpful in making new connections at a very busy time of year.
My flight had great legroom. I was pleasantly surprised.
Help with my injured leg wheelchair access and helpful people made it easy to get to my gate
Smooth flight. On time.
Staff was great! Flight attendant shook everyone’s hand before we landed.
Had to walk too far to board the plane in Seattle! More noticeable because a leg injury
Delta is my airline of choice because of its excellent customer service, good choices for flights, "on-time" policy and reasonable prices. I fly Delta whenever possible for both domestic and international travel.
Seats on this plane were too small to sit in for this long of a flight!
While Seattle is home to several airports, the only one that handles commercial flights is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Also known as Sea-Tac, this airport is responsible for all incoming flights, along with flights from Seattle. Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and US Airways are a few airlines that operate out of this airport. Located in SeaTac, Washington, the airport sits along the intersection of three state routes: 99, 518, and 509. Though the airport has three terminals, only the Concourse Terminal and North Satellite Terminal handle domestic flights. The South Satellite Terminal specializes in international flights. It's just a short drive from the airport to downtown.
When you need to reach your hotel quickly, head for the public transportation system, which consists of Sound Transit and Metro Transit. The buses and light rails only cost a few dollars, and you can visit the sales counter at any station to purchase tickets for your trip. The light rail system drops passengers directly at some of the top hotels in the downtown area. Seattle uses a grid system for its roads, which makes finding your hotel easy if you drive. You can use the Orbitz.com sign to look for rental cars from the airport.
If you visit during the spring, winter, or fall, you need a warm coat and an umbrella. Though the city does not get snow, it does get a high amount of rain during these seasons, and temperatures that can drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The summer is much warmer, with temperatures in the high 70s and less rainfall.
Seattle is home to dozens of cultural activities and attractions, including the Seattle International Film Festival, the Henry Art Galley, the Woodland Park Zoo, and the Seattle Underground Tour, which takes you through older parts of the city. When you look for flights from Seattle on Orbitz.com, take a few minutes to look for other low-cost attractions in the city.
Flights to Sun Valley can be found through Orbitz.com. Sky West Airlines, Delta Connection, Alaska Airlines, and several charter companies run cheap flights into the airport every day. The drive from downtown Sun Valley to the airport can take up to 45 minutes when traffic is backed up.
Sun Valley Express is a private charter company that offers travelers the chance to ride a bus from the airport to several hotels in town. This is the only company of its kind operating in the area, and your only other choice is a rental car. Avis, Budget, and Hertz offer rental cars starting at around $20 a day, while the shuttle costs up to $65.
The winter in Sun Valley is quite harsh with average highs in the low 30s and temperatures dropping below 10 degrees. Winter can also bring more than 20 inches of snow every month. The cold weather typically lasts through the spring, but the temperatures can climb to the low 60s by May. Summer highs are usually in the high 70s and low 80s.
The most popular activities and attractions in Sun Valley relate to arts and sports. Culture comes to life at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, while sports lovers can find activities during the winter and summer. Skiing and snowboarding is a popular winter activity, and horseback riding, hiking, and biking are popular in the warmer months.
