A great flight for the price. Two free bags and no one quibbled for a second when my first bag was 5kg over. The seats had a bit more room than other economy long hauls and had that lay back where the bottom slides forward that I think is a much better idea. There wasn't a great selection of movies, but I had been flying a lot recently, so it was probably just because I'd seen them all. The food was not fabulous, but no worse than any other and INCLUDED. They also gave you a blanket, pillow, and little kit with headphones and eye mask, etc. People were very friendly and most everything went just like it always goes with every airline. The only complaint I could register was that there was no alcohol served on this airline (?), certainly this flight. Not the worst thing in the world. Also, I waited almost 2 hours for my bags to arrive on the carousel. I am not sure if that's the fault of Egyptair, JFK, or US customs, though. I would definitely fly them again.
Service was average, no options for vegetarian (I thought I had pre-requested it) and no real attempt at assistance there. Luggage took an hour to retrieve after arrival.
Supburb! Flights of 12 hours and greater are usually killers. This flight was so comfortable I actually felt refreshed on arrival!
Great service, flight smooth & on time. Was concerned 1 flight attendant not buckled up at time of take off & landing. Did not enforce seats upright during landing in seat ahead of my son. Took few extra minutes for another flight attndant to close 1 luggage bin during landing that customer left open. Flight return to JFK offered beverages in meals vs flight FROM JFK which did not. Will definitely fly Egyptair more often
Very friendly staff excellent service
Located 14 miles from central Cairo, Cairo International Airport offers a wide range of domestic and international flights from Cairo. Air France, EgyptAir, Nile Air, and Signapore Air are a few of the companies that handle the hundreds of daily flights. As the airport is one of the busiest on the continent, getting a flight is sometimes difficult. If you need help, visit Orbitz.com, which gives you access to hundreds of flights departing from this airport.
Cairo International Airport has nine parking areas and more than 3,000 parking spots. One of the largest parking areas is reserved for long-term parking, which is your best choice if you wish to leave Cairo for seven days or more. Parking in a short-term lot can cost up to twice as much because these lots charge by the hour.
The cabs handling trips to the airport are different from the cabs found in other countries. Instead of relying on a meter, the cab driver will suggest a price to drive you to the airport. You pay the fare upfront. You might prefer the airport shuttle bus, which makes eight stops around Cairo, including one downtown. The bus has space for dozens of passengers, and it makes stops at the airport several times a day.
McDonald's and Burger King are two of the well-known chains located at the airport. You can also find local chains such as Bill Bentley's, Hippo Bar and Grill, and Puro Gusto. As long as you have a few minutes to spare, you have time to grab something to eat. With so many flights from Cairo leaving daily, you can use Orbitz.com to ensure that you get a seat on the right one.

Although JFK is further from the city, you can hop on the AirTrain, which will take you to the subway or the Long Island Railroad.
