The city is one of northern Mexico's most historically revolutionary cities, and remnants of that epoch of upheaval still remain today. Throughout the city, you'll find colonial architecture like the spectacular Templo de Carmen, or the demure Templo de San Francisco. The town's primary cathedral, Catedral de San Luis Potosi, towers over downtown San Luis Potosi, with three naves and an intricate Baroque facade.
The Museo del Ferrocarril is on the north side of the Alameda, and details the city's history inside its former train station. Numerous top-notch hotels are located around the Alameda, but you will also find various familiar chain hotels on the Tuxpan-Mexico Highway.
Still, for an authentic look at the unique architecture of the city, you might want to stick around the Alameda. La Posada del Virrey Restaurante is a local and tourist favourite, located conveniently near the Plaza de Armas.
If you fly to Ponciano Arriaga International Airport (SLP), you will land about ten miles northeast of San Luis Potosi's city center. A taxi trip from the airport to the city center will generally cost about $10 to $14 (USD).
You can probably leave your coats at home as temperatures in San Luis Potosi rarely dip below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Flight was delayed, but I was okay with that since it was for the security of everyone. “ there was some issues with the radio”
copa is good in planes and services, but food is only acceptable. no problem but nothing special. Nevertheless the best thing is the connections at the hub in Panama, always on time, excellent to get there and take another flight. It is better than having a connection in the USA where you have to pass immigration and very long queues and short time to arrive to another flight. Panama is the best option to go from Mexico to Caribbean countries or other destinations.
Grear experience! Thank you!
All personnel were very nice!
The flight had a delay of 1 hour that is becoming a rule with Aeromexico. This is bad. I had a connecting flight in Mexico city and I have to look that all connections have more than 3 hours to have enough time to do this.
Aeromexico has problems with the timetable but this time only one hour late in the flight from San Luis Potosi to Mexico City and on time from Mexico to Santo Domingo. It is a hard time from 1 am to 6:45 am, but no other option is offered by this company.
