The staff at the property was a complete turnoff, especially in the premium check in area. Those girls were straight up rude from the moment we got there. The bell service man and some of the staff in the buffet were pleasant, but everyone else were rude. We were also super disappointed that we had to pay extra for the water slides. It was $20/person per day to use if. The food was sub par as well. The ocean was calm to swim in but the beach is rocky, hard and full of debris. In the short amount of time we were at the beach, I found at least 5 pieces of glass. We love our trips to Mexico so it was hard fo write such a bad review but I want to prevent other families for feeling so much frustration.

Like: Self-contained resort; Facilities; evening shows; beach and pools Dislike: Improve cleanliness e.g. pools especially around bars; use tractor to clean seaweed from beach regularly

It was okay

The service offered for the price is not worth it. Paid over 14,000 for this vacation and the food and drinks were the cheapest kind the food was repetitive and tasteless. The pools closed at 8pm everyday the bars and restaurants were closed by 630. Making reservations at the a la carte restaurants was unavailable yet the restaurants were kind of empty. Overall i would not recommend this property to anyone expecting something decent.

Check-in was ver lengthy, it took almost 40min or us to fill-out paperwork and check in. Our room smelled like damped sheets. I was not too excited about the room and the “mini bar” selection. Only beer for alcohol selection (on an all inclusive) cheep choices of sodas and no snacks. No cream or sugar for coffee. The first night, one of the pillow sheets was disgusting, it had a mark as if it was not washed. The halls smelled bad. The only good thing about this place was the location of the bar and pools and their buffet. Service was decent.

They moved us to the Adults Only Resort, Barcelo Maya Riviera, which is modern, sleek, and has a great pool, so we were happy. The service was great. We were unfortunate because we had rain the whole week! We did have a few issues with the rooms... In the first room, which was on the first floor close to an exit to the garden, we saw a few big spiders, and had to kill them. Probably they were coming in from outside to escape the rain. So we were moved to a room on a higher floor, which was nice of them. Unfortunately, that room had a smell of humidity/suage in the shower and a vent was always on in the bathroom, which made it hard to sleep. Except for these issues, I would recommend the place, the staff is great and the adult only option is definitely amazing if you don't have kids with you!

Дуже добре, є де гуляти дуже велика тереторія, свій дельфінарій.

The staff is the best, the service is fantastic and the grounds are impeccable.

Absolutely fabulous and exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be back.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept with so much greenery and the beaches were wonderful. I was not very impressed with the buffet food. Breakfast was wonderful, but lunch & dinner seemed to be a little on the bland side and food overcooked. The staff had a difficult time keeping food and condiments replenished, having to constantly ask for things to be refilled. The ala carte restaurants were very good, but very difficult to get reservations. The staff did their best to keep up beat during a trying time for the resort due to their efforts of keeping the Corona Virus at bay. Hand-sanitizer was provided throughout the entire resort, specifically at each restaurant & buffet. It was a great resort for my son's senior group with lots of activities to keep them busy during our stay. I would recommend staying their if you have a large group. If it were just my husband & I, we would probably try the adults only portion of the resort for a little less crowd.

Nice setup. Long sand beaches. Unlimited places to relax. I liked everything.

Great place to relax and enjoy the sun. Very repetitive Nd boring after a while.

The room is very old. But the ocean covers all the flaws of the hotel.

Everything is an additional cost. The rooms are outdated and smell like mildew. The nighttime shows are not family friendly (show girls with g-strings). The pools were freezing, 72F if that. The kids water slides were nice which were in the Colonial section. The beach was also nice, the water was very rocky though. Food is edible, not great. The website is very misleading. I would not stay at the resort again.
