Grounds are beautiful. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Negative? Very few amenities. Only breakfast alternative is a $25 buffet. Resort fee($25) gets little/ nothing. Few indoor activities ( pool/ sauna) were closed.

Wayyy overpriced. The carpets were old and smelly. The parking was not convenient . There was no valet. We had to carry our luggage up and down long , large hills to get to the car. The bathroom countertop was disgusting . We had to have someone come in and re clean the room and it was still not clean. I do not recommend staying there. It was a total disappointment.

It was advertised to be an old 19th century estate but the rooms were updated to look very modern. No free breakfast or pool that was previously provided.

Just "okay." Clearly the location is what's special. The rooms are dated, with a mustt carpet, poor lighting, and small, dark bathrooms. No elevators. Not very convenient for people with walking disabilities.

Beautiful estate. Great customer service. Would recommend to family and friends.

Large estate with beautiful grounds only a 5 minutes walk to the river walk

We wanted a little mini getaway from the city so we booked this on the fly. Boy should I have paid closer attention to the other reviews. Especially on Yelp. Bathroom was filthy by ANY standards not to mention the “extra precautions” they are supposed to be taking during Covid. The grounds are nice and some of the buildings (The Kings Mansion, Biddle Mansion are pretty) but the rest of the facilities “linking” them together on the property look like cheap 2 story Best Westerns built in the 90s. Once inside the Kings Mansion it was run down. Our room was supposed to be decorated in period furnishings. The bed looked “semi-appropriate” but then there was this weird hodgepodge of West Elm/IKEA looking stuff combined with what I can only describe as thrift store finds. It was bad. The worst part was the shower covered in MILDEW. The only redeeming factor was the on-site restaurant Goosefeather but it was also the only option understandably due to Covid. It is lovely but pricey so nightly meals there will add up to more than your lodging (which is CLEARLY NOT WORTH THE PRICE.) AVOID this place.

We loved this property because it is wonderfully maintained and clean. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant has delicious food.

Overated. Old but needs work rotted windows. Not very friendly staff at king’s mansion the goose feathers restaurant made it clear she wasnt there answer a question and only worked for the restaurant. That was booked nothing to eat lunch or dinner. Firepits and outdoor patio for restaurants guests only. Closed for events seems rude after driving three hours. No water pressure in shower. Bugs in shower light. Bed made my back ache. Loud noises kept me up as they out me in a room over the restaurant for my 300.00 a night!! Loud people drinking at a bar right under us. Would not suggest this hotel
