This is a very cozy small hotel located in an excellent neighborhood in DC.

Most horrible place I've stayed in. It looked like homes in horror movies. There is mold around the cooling system. No towels. Called in the morning to see if I could get some coffee front desk guy said we don't have any! When do you get it he said "No idea ".Poor attitude from people ( front desk); We didn't see anyone else!! The old A/C was broken I couldn't sleep at night after driving 14 hours. I can't find one nice thing to say about this place. I think the management is putting people in jeopardy because this place isn't really safe. I am from out of state I would definitely pursue this with health department of the state if I lived in D.C.This place is disgusting in all aspects.

Property is hidden. Parking is horrible. Staff was horrible. Bedding needs updating with new pillows. No towels and bed linen was soiled. Rooms were not clean or fresh.

They claimed they cancelled my room after trying to charge me 24 hours ahead of my reservation. Then, they told me that it was my fault that my card didn’t go through - I actively keep that card with low funds because of things like this. They eventually rebooked me but at a higher rate and after about an hour of back and forth with a manager. I arrived around 1030 at night after traveling for about 4.5 hours. Best of all, they told me they sold my room but the hotel is not full. No one on my floor at all for the first two nights. No where did it say they could cancel me for charging me ahead of time, take an additional pet deposit or anything else they did. There were things in my room that were broken, water pressure was awful, a constant damp spot by the AC, light switches that did nothing, beautiful bathtub with a faulty plug. Just more bad than good. For what I paid, even in DC, I expected at least a little better. It’s all very shady - avoid. I wish I had better to say. I was very excited to stay but it just didn’t live up to any of the good reviews.

This hotel was quiet, clean, and the beds are soooo comfortable.

I liked that the front desk receptionist was nice. I did not like: 1) awful smell in the elevator 2) the air did not work well 3) I was itchy in the room (this is a pet allowed hotel, so I think there fleas). I was very uncomfortable, I had to leave!

The Normandy was just OK. NEG: The location is about a 10 min walk up a hill from DuPont Circle. You can also go to the next stop on the red line & walk down to the hotel. I didn't do it, so I don't know if it's hilly. The hotel has seen better days. The room seemed to be renovated but sloppily. For example, when they painted they slopped all over the light switch cover. There was quite a bit of mold in the bathtub. You had to go down & get toiletries/towels from the front desk, but they were rarely there. You had to wait for them to return sometimes for an extended period. I think they were overworked & had to do everything like get people's cars and go elsewhere to get towels. I don't know why they didn't have towels near the front desk. There are no lights near/on the desk, so it's dark there. WiFi was spotty. I had issues in parts of the room incl the bed. POS: The staff was very nice, friendly and welcoming. The room appeared clean except for the mold. It was quiet from outside noise. I could hear the people in the next room, but it wasn't as bad as in most hotels. The maids were quiet. They only service rooms if you stay more than 4 (?) days, but you must request them. They only knocked on my door on the last day and quietly. There was a fridge in the room. They give you shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. NOTE: 1) The bathtub was very high to step over. If you have mobility issues, check if there are better rooms for you. 2) They do NOT have bar soap.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The room had coffee, a fridge and a TV. Unfortunately due to COVID/staffing shortages they closed their kitchen so no breakfast. We also asked 3 times for new coffee pods before receiving them so service was a bit lacking.

Everything is good, good price, good location, quiet and luxurious, the only disappointment no housekepping in my stay (3 nights)

Great hotel, kinda small but very clean updated room, I had a nice stay

Good location. Nice staff. Getting a little worn around the edges.

😐😐😐😐😐😐 when I ordered a room, they wrote free parking, and when I arrived I paid for valet parking 40$ ....

Clean, safe, comfortable, great location. Everything about the room was in working order and above average for the price.

First night was great, used the hotel's valet parking service. Second night their valet parking apparently filled up, and they sent me to a nearby parking garage in a really bad part of town--saw grafitti everywhere there and even a rat. Was nerve-racking walking back to the hotel.

The check in process was simple and the woman at the desk was nice but that’s the only good part about it. The first room we went into had holes in the wall and the pillows had stains on them. In addition to that, the bathroom was dirty. The second room we moved too looked better but was just as dirty. The rooms here obviously aren’t cleaned properly or after each visit. We ended up leaving that same night (at 1 am) because we couldn’t sleep there.

Hotel felt like a boutique hotel - very pretty common areas and rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and quiet.
