I always stay at the Beacon because it's the best combination of location, comfort, and price in the city. The staff is very friendly (and the hotel treats them well). I would always recommend this hotel to others.

Overall a nice property, Staff was friendly and it is a nice walk to the National mall. I was disappointed by there not being a fridge or microwave in the room (shared microwave in hallway) and with the rooftop terrace and restaurant being closed I do not feel it was worth the $100 a night.

My departure was almost ruined by the difficulty in discovering a taxi or Lift or Uber. I waited for 1.5 hours for transportation and by that time I was too late to walk to McPherson Metro. The heroic work of the night clerk Raoul finally got me a ride after working on my situation for over an hour. I dashed to the airport and got on my plane as the doors shut. I have been coming to the Beacon for 15 year but will not return unless the hotel gets arrangement with drivers to assist on off hours trips to the airport

I didnt stay at the hotel because I was in a car accident on the way there I called and they still charged me, even though I was in the ER. Horrible customer service. After not staying there, having to stay the night in the, ER, you still get charged? I dont understand.

We did not get the room we booked. The room we booked was including a sofa in the room and a completely separate layout. When we checked in, we were told al the rooms were booked and this was the only one they could give us. What really upset us as customers was that we had called weeks in advance to ensure our room was properly blocked and was told we had nothing to worry about. Totally disappointed with the hotel and would not recommend to book here after our experience. The staff was also not accommodating and refused to acknowledge it was their staff who had assured us two weeks before the check in date that everything was confirmed as booked. They insisted we blame orbitz which was the third party we booked through however the confirmation was done directly with the hotel!

The front desk people were amazing and the experience was great. We got all we could ask for and then some. It was a late check in because of a nightmare at a previous hotel but this experience was definitely the needed refresher! Thank you to the staff for being so nice and helpful!

So many problems and not enough time and space. Room was dingy and dirty. Bed was uncomfortable mess. No fridge or microwave in the room. No vending machines. Couldn’t find ice machine. Staff was absolutely terrible and unhelpful. Could hear every noise from talking outside to flushing toilets all the way down the hall. Extra fees for everything including a “resort tax” which is garbage because this place was worse than a La Quinta. They threatened to have my dog removed for barking even though we were back at the hotel four times during the day to check on him and he was asleep in his bed. Later realized people down the hall were hanging out in the hallway yelling and laughing and getting the dog riled up. Told staff and they didn’t care. This was the first time in 41 years a hotel has actually stressed me out. Couldn’t wait to leave. Wouldn’t go back if they paid me to.

I have stayed here the last several years when I have come to DC for an annual conference. I like the Beacon Hotel. Great location. My only negative is that the TV is old and the connection/reception was not great.

Great location and spacious rooms. Brunch downstairs has an expansive menu.
