Really needs some maintenance, looked at 3 rooms before finding one passable, black mold, flith, peeling paint to name a few of the issues, just really run down

The ocean view/location was amazing. It was a nice place to stay but the decor was very outdated and really needs to be updated. The showers weren't as clean as I had hoped.

Full kitchen and beautiful view of the ocean

This is the hotel I always chose to stay at, because it is safe and clean. It is not a brand new hotel or the most updated but it is a great hotel. I had the feeling that because it was off season, and also because of covid, they may have been short staffed at the time of my stay. The only negative thing I have to say is about overhearing other guests who were negative and lacking patience with the staff. Please, be kind to the folks working hard at this hotel. They always do an amazing job. When I needed clean towels during my stay the housekeeper told me there would be a short wait. She arrived an hour or so later with warm towels, and to me - that was a very kind gesture. This will always be my go to place to stay when visiting VA Beach.

The staff are nice and the room large, but this is not the place for you if light and sound at night bother you. The bedroom part of each room is placed near the hall, and there is a large frosted window on the hall with roller shade but no blackout curtain. The roller shade does not block out light on the sides, and the hall lights are never turned off, so it is like sleeping with a small light on in your room. In ours, that hall light coming through on one side went directly across our pillows. Also, there is no noticeable soundproofing, so you will hear the staff starting to bring their carts onto the floor at 6:15 each morning. Plus anyone else in the hall or using the elevator. This does mean the living room part of the room faces the ocean and has a very nice view. And the lady serving breakfast is great.

Two room suite with ocean view. Only problem was we were too close to the elevator and heard it throughout the night.

The view from the balcony was very nice. I’m not so sure how clean that room was, it had a mirror wall in the living room and it was filthy. That mirror hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. The air conditioner when it came on was so loud it was crazy. My husband and I were very disappointed.

This property is right on the beach and this is great! Wake up every morning to look out on the ocean and sit on your deck and listen to the waves. The pool was open to all which during this time is unique. My kids were able to swim for hours which I loved. The actual pool area is all glass and is very warm for those just sitting watching their kids. Breakfast was typical for what you would find. Nothing special but adequate. I was not impressed with the room. It has clearly seen better days. While a kitchen was provided, we had 3 coffee cups, 1 glass, 2 forks, and 2 spoons, and 2 bowls. Our kids slept on the pull out sofa and we learned at 10 pm when we were putting them to bed that we had no bedding for the couch. I attempted to call the front desk but neither phone in the room worked. Housekeeping was prompt in bringing the bedding, however. There was a smear of peanut butter on the floor next to the bed when we first checked in. The master bedroom is right next to the hallway. On our last night there were very rude guests allowing their children to run up and down the halls, knocking on guest doors and yelling. This went on until 2 am. Because neither phone worked in the room, I was unable to notify the front desk to report this behavior. Because of the location of the bedroom, we were exposed to the loud behavior. So to summarize, the location is great and the pool was adequate. Otherwise, this stay would have been a bust.

Simple but everything that you need.

For the most part we enjoyed the stay. My only issue was that I booked the room for three people but only got one set of toiletries. I could have gone back to the main desk and ask for additional items but it stands to reason to have at least two of each item of there is more people per room.

The suite was large and generally clean. The service was excellent. The view of sunrise was stunning!

Liked the view. Did not like that you could hear hallway noise and noise from neighboring rooms

Staff was friendly, room is huge with a kitchen, sofa bed, and a dining table, however the hotel itself including the rooms need a big renovation. It looks old and smells old and stale, too. In the living area of the room some of the popcorn ceiling paint literally fell off on the floor when the visitors upstairs closed one of their doors. The cleaning staff missed the bathroom mirror, the sink and few appliances in the kitchen even though they had plenty of time to clean as I arrived half an hour later after my check-in time. The continental breakfast was also quite poor. I was expecting at least some scrambled eggs as a hot meal. All they had was bagels, muffins, cereals and the like. Overall it was not that bad but there is a huge room for improvement.
