The hotel is fantastic, the atmosphere was beautiful the location was convenient it even had a two star Michelin restaurant with in the hotel. I would definitely recommend it for anybody wanting to visit Venice

Lovely, although quite unusual, old hotel on the Grand Canal. Unusual describes the public rooms which are jam packed with odd collections...fans, corkscrews, beaded bags, etc.

Great location. Interesting collections around hotel

It was Great!! Love it!!! Staff was so helpfull, hotel secure and classy!

At check in we mentioned it was our honeymoon which he could care less. The man was rude and abrupt and one of the rudest people we encountered in Italy. The other awful place was a restaurant down from this hotel yet the rest of Italy was wonderful. What was advertised as our room was not what we received and we had to pay an extra $100 a day to have the room that was displayed with the patio. Not sure if the issue was with the hotel or what is being displayed on this site. Very disappointing. The room we received was above the bar and had loud music playing past 11pm. When we called about this since it clearly listed they closed at 10 They were having a special that night which the check in man also failed to inform us about. After a day of traveling the last thing you want is having to hear blaring music over and over. We paid the extra money to get the room we thought we were receiving the following day. This was a much better experience but would still not return or recommend this hotel. Very pushy about trying the MET restaurant which we skipped and only tried the bar. The bar and drinks were nothing special...go down a few blocks and try Harry's Bar that is expensive but a long history. Overall, skip this hotel and this area since it is very commercial and crowded. Try around the Rialto Bridge area since it was very pleasant to sit along the water. It is also busy but not as packed with cruise ship traffic.

Convenience location and excellent service from check-in to check-out.

The Metropole was our final of 5 different hotels throughout Italy. We were so pleased. Thank you for providing every possible amenity, especially the abundance of linens, seating area, and Murano chandelier. By this time in our travel, we were well aware of the value of being able to stop back in our room between meals, tours, or events for a quick rest and freshen-up, and this location is perfect for that. The staff was so kind, and careful to offer every possible need as we passed through the lobby multiple times. I've already recommended Metropole to a friend who will be arriving this summer.

The Metropole is everything I could have hoped for. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

The Room they gave us was very small. Our luggage barely fit in.

We had a lovely stay at the Metropole. If we weren't in Venice we would have never had to leave the hotel! The staff was professional, knowledgeable and kind. The location was perfect and the bar and garden eating areas were very charming! Our room was a little on the small side but we weren't there much. It was a great value!

Wish I could have been there longer. Super convenient to the water taxi's, and short walk to St. Mark's square. The staff was very responsive to requests.

The Hotel was nicely appointed and comfortable. As Venice goes, it was a nice accomodation. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is very centrally situated. Further, the rooms were quiet.
