Air conditioning did not work in my room Need to do a lot of repairs The tissue cover holder was falling off Need to repaint the facility.

The view of the canal is phenomenal from any of the canal facing rooms and the best part of the whole experience. With a great location, just a few steps over the bridge from the train station, you will find the entrance to the hotel between two souvenir shops that you will become accustomed to on your stay in Venice. Be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs as there is no space for an elevator in this vintage building. The room is quaint with about 3 ft between the bed and the wall, at least in the room we stayed in. As you can tell by the pictures, you are getting a classic Venitian experience with the furnishings to match. We were pretty sure the bath curtain was also a classic and we wished we brought our water shoes to shower. Once you open the window and the shutters, you can hear the hustle on the street. Leaving the windows open all night to let the city in was a magical way to stay for the night. Falling asleep to sounds of tourists making their way and motor boats navigating the canal beats any sounds machine. The staff was very friendly and offered to watch our bags once we checked out to explore the city for the day. We didn’t try the continental breakfast as it was no match for the Italian cuisine we were there for. A fun nights stay on a larger Italian vacation.

This hotel was awful. Yes it’s right in the canal but it’s not worth it. The price is comparable to others around it and I would definitely book somewhere else. We didn’t have hot water for a shower and when we went to the front desk to ask them for help, the response was “other people took showers so you’ll just need to wait for hot water. Turning on the faucet helps.” It took over 20 min to get warm water. The shower was so so small. I’m 5’3” and I couldn’t wash my hair without bumping the walls. The room was on the first floor by the stairs and it was so loud. There wasn’t any curtains in the room to block out light so it was very bright as soon as the sun came up. We booked a room with a view but when we got there the reservation didn’t show that (apparently this is a thing that happens regularly). Look at other sites for reviews, not just here and the descriptions are more accurate then on Orbitz. The front staff at check at was friendly and helpful but that was it. I was beyond disappointed with this hotel and experience staying here. Don’t stay here.

It’s a three star hotel that’s a bit faded round the edges but don’t let that put you off. The room was clean, the shower was hot, the towels were fluffy, breakfast buffet was generous and the location was great. Best of all were the staff who couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful

Amazing view of the canal! The breakfast was great too.

Great view, close to the train station, friendly staff, and clean room. Overall a great stay!

The air conditioning is ineffective, the room not cleaned well, and the beds poor. Nicely located across a canal from the train terminal though.

Great location and view. Close to water taxi stops. Next to many bars and restaurants. There is no lift. Very hard to move luggage to upper floors.

Perfect location from train station and taxi station to airport. Rooms were clean. The decor was outdated, but seemingly on purpose (traditional decor). We had a room with a canal view and it was worth the little extra. Staff was very accommodating. Staff was very helpful with anything that we needed.

This hotel is in need of serious updating. The staff was nice, and the continental breakfast was good, but the room was last updated when my grandfather was in Italy, WWII. The only upside was that it had a swamp cooler running that helped cool down the room.

Staff was very friendly ,and good price for the location. Rooms were not cleaned throughout. If you just need a quick place to to get some sleep after enjoying the beautiful city of Venice, and your spouse doesn't mind should be good for you.

A really wonderful place to stay! The hotel is close to everything in Venice, and easy to get to from the Airport or train station. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent! This not a fancy hotel, but I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay at a good, central location in Venice.

Small room but comfortable. Wonderful view of the Canal. Comfortable bed. Hotel staff were very pleasant and very helpful.

Convenient place to stay, I Wish it's has a elevator

breakfast excellent - served from 0800 to 1000-it pays to get there as it opens! apart from the 3 flights of stairs to room at top of hotel and no english tv we were very pleased that we had booked this hotel and would definitely stay here again - i should have paid more then we would have got a room on lower floor!

Wife and I stayed here in October. Great location proximal to bus and train stations for our trip. Desk staff spoke great English and were able to sell us the concert tickets we wanted. Continental buffet breakfast was pretty good compared to the rest of our trip. The bedroom electrical outlet didn't work (TV, refrigerator), but the one in the bathroom did work (for charging devices). Some mold in the shower, but hey...it's Venice!

Venice has become extraordinarily expensive. Taking the overall expense of Venice into account, this hotel was not a complete ripoff, but it is hard to consider this a 3 star hotel. The small lobby was cramped and shabby. The room was adequate in size, but not large. The mattress was simply awful- it felt like sleeping on a sleeper sofa. The bathroom had capped stubs of pipes sticking out of the wall. While not important to us, the TV was postage stamp size. We woke up to a delicious smell from the kitchen. I'm not sure what we were smelling since the included breakfast was poor.

Great hotel in an incredible location. Very convenient to access water taxi stops, and close to the train terminal. Staff was very helpful and professional.

The hotel is close to everything you need to see in Venice! The design is not modern however, sometimes it is very comfortable to stay in old places. Also, breakfasts are tasty.
