Great faculty in this remote location

Safe, clean and charming

good find nicely surprised

The giant confederate statue next to my hotel room gave me some pause.

The bar tender was a complete JERK. Thanks to your young lady managers concern the evening was salvaged. She gets 5 stars, he gets 0

We were very excited to stay at the resort. The room looked nice, and the property was beautiful. But the dining experience was meh and we were not able to sit with another couple (only 4 at the table). There were lots of other people with more than 4 people at their table, I just think they were being lazy by their response when we asked. The worst part about the resort was the beds. They were so uncomfortable that we almost left in the middle of the night. I will never stay here again. There are many other, much nicer places to stay in the area for a lot less money. We stayed the three nights prior at a casita for $100 less per night and much more comfortable, and the rooms were more private. Also, the coffee pot is tiny and not worth even trying to make coffee, and they did not provide complimentary coffee for their guests. You had to actually go to the Mercantile and buy your coffee (and this is quite a walk from the main entrance of the resort). The rooms here are very expensive for what you get.

First, we aren't golfers, just looking for a substitute location due to Covid Cancellation of our previously planned vacation. Going to Lajitas with our 2 teen girls was a great choice. The rooms and facilities were terrific. I had no idea that the Resort had been originally built in the 1960s. Everything was up to date, except the pool (which was better because it had a true deep end and well as shallows for my girls to wade. They really loved the pool. It was 100º on average (Aug) and the resort was a relaxing shelter from the wild wonders of nature that surrounded us. We did not get to go horseback riding, as I was too heavy for the horses (Covid 19lbs) at both Lajitas and locally. We did hike the state park which was not closed. We waded in/across the Rio Grande adjacent to the Resort. We have amazing pictures and stories and new cowboy hats (purchased in neighboring Terlingua). The Restaurant was delicious - most unique. savory Fried Steak. Also, the Starlight Theater Eatery in Terlingua was excellent! The wifi was the only weakness, and it didn't matter. To have our girls enjoying nature and adventure and conversation was the reason we chose Lajitas . What started as a substitute may have us return for more memories...when I can fit on a horse...

The location is excellent for visiting Terlingua and making multiple trips into Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Our room was quaint but fine. The only disappointment was that the "Guest 2.4" internet service didn't work, and the WiFi did not reach across the street from the lobby where much of the lodging is located. To use the WiFi we had to go to or near the lobby.

This is a super nice place to stay. I took the missus to Big Bend, which was only open for day use mid June. She was very happy to have such a lovely place to stay at. Ashley was genuinely pleasant at the front desk and made us feel at home. Nice shaded patio to relax on in the morning and evening hours. We enjoyed walking around the lovely maintained property. The restaurant had a beautiful and setting. Meals were around $20, which isn’t too bad for the setting, ambiance and “isolated” location. Other cheaper options were available, including a pizza shop and General Store owned by the location about half a mile down the road. The General Store was also nice, with a covered patio in front to enjoy free WiFi, check your Mapquest or enjoy a quick meal. The hotel also had good cable tv and WiFi, which also made the missus happy.

;awesome golf course and hiking area great staff. Dinning was reasonable

Perfect, staff needs to add some attentiveness and professionalism.

Lajitas Golf Resort is a beautiful property. The grounds are lovely, the restaurant is very good, and it's the only place of that caliber in that area. The guest rooms are very tired and really need refurbishing, and attention to detail in their current state as to general maintenance. We are Texans and go annually to the Big Bend area for its unique beauty. At the price, Lajitas needs to redo the guest rooms, and I hope hotel ownership will give the Guest rooms a facelift. As it is, they have been rode hard and put up wet!

The resort is beautiful but cooling system was awful.
