We felt like home. Food at restaurant was delicious and very good service

We stayed at the Metropolitan in Tel Aviv for 8 nights. It was our first time in Israel and I went on the recommendation of this hotel by a coworker of mine who has family in Israel. Tel Aviv is a very expensive city and hotel rates are similar to those in our hometown, New York City. The Metropolitan is a great value. It is located just steps from a major beach and all the action in Tel Aviv. We loved the daily breakfast buffet and the friendly front-desk staff. We especially want to mention Jana at the front desk. She was sweet and professional and always had a smile for us and great suggestions about tours to Jerusalem, Haifa, Masada and Dead Sea and also local places in Tel Aviv. We originally asked for a room on a high floor with a sea view. When we checked in, they only had a room with a city view available, but the next day the front desk switched us to a sea view room. A good staff makes all the difference in the world, especially in a foreign country, and the Metropolitan really stands out with its amazing staff. They made our stay in Israel so great.

Not much to complain about. The stay was uneventful. The staff were helpful. The room was clean. The service at the restaurant was acceptable.

They staff was very friendly- upgraded us to a better room and made sure to go tithe airport right on time. Rooms were dated but comfortable.

Fantastic location. 2 blocks from the beach. Plenty of restaurants and places to shop nearby...all in easy walking distance. Fantastic breakfast included, not to mention all the coffee you can drink. Room is great and clean. Staff is very helpful. Worth every penny (or NIS). While I did not travel with children, the hotel is children friendly. At the same time, it is adult friendly. Neither group interferes or bothers the other. An unbelievable hotel in old Tel Aviv.
