Major leaks during rainstorm in lobby and even in room next to ours. Dirty walls, floor, ceiling. Supposedly the whole hotel is non-smoking now but our room smelled very badly like smoke. Cigarette burns in carpet and curtains. Hotel needs renovation. One housekeeping visit over 7 nights.

Not great, but ok. Had mini putt on the premise which my kids enjoyed. Lots of potential. The A/C was insufficient for late July.

I wish my stay was longer but unfortunately hot in late snd left early. Next time

Badly in need of updates, aged carpets, advertised that room had fridge and microwave - but there wasnt either. No working elevator

Pool heater was broken, rooms are dated and smell. Conference center was good for our intended purpose.

The entire complex is run down. Pictures on Orbitz were not what I found. Bathroom toilet was circled with urine stains. Wallpaper has to be 30 years old. It was once a grand location. Insects kept me company in my bedroom. Wall in bedroom was dirty; when I reported it to front desk, I knew from the response it would remain unaddressed. Sad! Place is almost a 'tear down'

Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Older property, needs a little TLC but has the indoor pool and allows dogs. We will return.

This is a classic from days past and it looks it. Water dripping from exposed pipes in the hallway ceiling. Bad musty odor in our room. Just walked out, found another hotel from fear of legionnaires disease.

Was told "the only working ice machine is located...". Not words any guest wants to hear. Ever.

Staff very nice and helpful / but the hotel is Very run down - old, dirty, and the first floor bedrooms smell of mold

This is an old 60-70’s style holidome that they have not kept up with. There are rooms by the pool with patio doors open that the roofs are falling in. Our room smelled so bad of mold and paint was peeling from the walls. Very sad condition. The bed was comfortable but I had a difficult time sleeping with the mold smell. The location is beautiful by the lake. Hotel needs major renovation! Paid too much!!

Room was musty and made us sick. The blanket had about 12 holes in it and the keyless entry doirs never worked. They need to put some money back into the property.

We booked at midnight. Room was large and spacious. The bed was a little uncomfortable. Good for a quick stop over. Lobby area was nice.

The only thing keeping me from giving this a five-star review is the beds. Probably the most uncomfortable beds I've ever (not) slept in. I was considering going out to buy a blow-up mattress but we only stayed two nights. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. Beautiful view of the lake, Ox Head Tavern right on the grounds was delicious, staff was great and rooms were immaculate.

Very nice grounds rooms just so so beds terrible.staff are friendly. The fire pit would have been nice but not going to pay $100 for 2 hours use price a little excessive. Would stay there again

I want to start out by saying that I have stayed here before many times years ago. Because of this I did not read the reviews for this hotel. Big mistake! This property has gone downhill in a big way. Hallways and rooms smell strange, mold in room, torn comforter, gross stained mattress. Not even sure what the original color of the mattress was (no joke) I almost slept in my car but braved it out for the time I was here due to the kids (they are oblivious) I stayed out all day with the kids because I couldn't stand to be in the room. And I want to mention that when I arrived I had my room changed due to the horrible smell. Helped slightly but the second room had other issues as well. It is such a shame because the property is beautiful and used to be amazing! Now it is just sad and in desperate need of renovations. I was appalled that they actually take peoples money to stay here. Shame on them. They need to close or renovate.

I'm used to Marriott properties so I was very disappointed here with how outdated the facility was. The person at desk was rubbing his face and then asked for my license and credit card. That seemed unprofessional. The room was ground level and was dank and it's smelled like someone smoked in there and then masked with Fabreeze.

We only stayed here for one night but staff was great. They brought a fridge to our room even though we asked very late. The room was very clean. Pool water on the cold side. Wish we had time for the boat paddle rental. Many restaurants around and Old Sturbridge village is a five minute car drive away.

I was pleasantly impressed when arriving at the Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center. The facility sits on the bank of a small lake & is very peaceful. The room eith 2 double beds was very pleasant & even though we looked out on the dining/entertainment area there was very little noise except an occasional bag rolling across the bricks. Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. Further from Boston than I expected - at least an hour each way & longer during rush hour.
