Very nice

Really enjoyed our stay at the DoubleTree. Is centrally located you can walk everywhere and the max is just a 15 min walk. Friendly Staff.

The woman at the front desk was so knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly

Conveniently located. Nice sized pool was a plus. $20 parking is a ripoff.

A little out of the way but transportation very convenient , friendly staff, clean room

Staff was very helpful and nice. There was a wet spot on the floor in our room and the lamps had visible dust all over them so not very confident in the cleaning process. The room had a weird smell to it and didn’t smell fresh. There was a odd high pitched sound that could be heard which drove us crazy at night. The rooms need updating and the pillows were terrible.

So let me preface this review by saying I’m pretty laid bag and don’t have my whole trip ruined by a single stray hair in the shower or on a pillowcase. That being said the room was very clean and the interior of the hotel itself. The room had no initial odor and the AC worked very well. The tv had a line running straight down the screen but I figured that we could live with. Normally we don’t stay in the room and rarely turn the TV on however this visit we booked specifically to do just that and to primarily hang out in the pool and room just relaxing to the fullest and we wanted something a short drive from our home in Savannah. So let’s start with the parking, they have an “overflow” lot that was CLOSED for the weekend, we had to drive around for over thirty minutes to find parking the first night and the second and third nights we didn’t even get to park on hotel property which left me uneasy, so WHAT exactly am I paying fifteen a night for parking for!?!?! So first nights sleep we were of course in room 302 the closest to the elevator so you heard EVERYTHING, even the inconsiderate jerk getting ice at 7am and the drunk jerks walking to their room at 2am with zero volume control. Our second day a sewer smell drove us out of our room for hours and there was nothing they could do. I’ve never smelled anything like it in my life and leads me to believe there are larger issues in this hotel. The pool area was mildewed around the hot tub and littered with beer and cigarettes.

Great location the staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and nice.

For the price I paid for just one night I wasn’t too impressed with the room we had. The bed was way too firm and the cocktail lounge closed too early for a Saturday night. I know December is the busy season for where the hotel is located but for 400 dollars a night I really was expecting more out of this hotel. Won’t stay there again.

Accommodating staff and great sack lunches and coffee.

The pool area was nice, staff was pleasant, rooms were nice and we appreciated the ability to adjust room temp.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay at the DoubleTree St. Augustine hotel. I am happy to hear your room and the hotel's interior was very clean. I am sincerely sorry to hear we did not exceed your expectations this stay due to several reasons listed in your review. Only when you park on property do you pay the $15 parking fees. If you were parked on the street that weekend the fair took over our overflow parking, I am happy to remove those charges off your bill. Since your review is anonymous, please contact the hotel directly so we can find your receipt and make those adjustments. The TV screen issue you mentioned, was that in Room 302? I will have our Chief Engineer change the TV out to a new one with all working pixels. I appreciate you bringing that to our attention so we can fix it for future guests. Our outdoor area, such as pool and hot tub, are maintained daily and I will make sure maintenance is aware of this review so they can focus more attention out there more frequently. I appreciate your honest feedback of your stay so our hotel can make the necessary improvements to provide the quality guest experience we strive for here at the DoubleTree. I hope you will give us another try in the future the next time you are in the Saint Augustine area.
