Located in the Pacific Northwest, you will find plenty of beautiful places to enjoy Spokane while visiting with your pet.
There are a number of trails and parks where your pup will be more than welcome on a leash. Iller Creek Conservation Area Trail is about a two-mile hike. Spokane’s most famous park, Riverfront Park runs around Spokane River and has a number of iconic landmarks from Spokane Falls to Monroe Street Bridge. Another stunning place to visit is Manito Park and Botanical Gardens. It spans over 90-acres and includes a park, arboretum, gardens, and a conservatory. You can also check out the Benn Burr Trail, the Fish Lake Trail, and the Spokane River Centennial Trail, all of which are part of the Rails-to-Trails program.
For more outdoor adventures, rent a car and head about twenty minutes outside of Spokane to Liberty Lake for the 6.5-mile Liberty Lake Loop Trail. For a true, off the leash area, head to the 11-acre Spokanimal Dog Park within High Bridge Park. Here, you will discover areas for both bigger and smaller dogs, and it is located right across the road from the Spokane River.
Once you get hungry, you will find plenty of places that allow dogs in their outdoor seating areas. The Park Bench itself is an outdoor restaurant in Manito Park and features plenty of classic American favorites. It even has a special menu for your pup.
Picabu Bistro is a quaint restaurant that offers a fusion of American, Mexican, Thai, and Cajun style cuisine. Moreover, Huckleberries Natural Market is a lovely place for classic cafe food, while Sante Restaurant & Charcuterie uses only local ingredients and proteins to create a number of delicious dishes.
