The staff was exceptional. The room was nicely appointed except for the sofa - very uncomfortable. Lack of housekeeping staff meant our room was only cleaned if requested before 8 am. Witnessed housekeeping staff working very long hours. Would recommend this hotel.

Loved the large room and breakfast. We also loved the location, right next to the shopping mall.

The property was typical Marriott, impressive and nice looking. We had a problem right away when we turned on the heat in our room and a horrible smell started to fill the space. The front desk person was able to put us in another room, however. The pool was a big disappointment, as it was in a small tiled space, very echo-ey, and the heavy door slammed loudly every time someone went on or out. Normal pool sounds of a few children was enough to drive us away, after a long day of travel and frayed nerves. Also, the shade from the floor lamp fell on my daughter when she walked next to the lamp. I mention that because these three examples paint the overall picture of this hotel: a nice facility that is not maintained as it should be. Clean the heaters in the rooms, make sure the lamp shades are attached, and fix the door to the pool area so it doesn’t slam.

Great choice for a last minute reservation. We were driving all day and were tired. This was our first choice and we were happy with it.

Great hotel for parking, very near good shopping, restaurants, etc.

Perfect for our needs, little difficult to find the entrance

We traveled to Sioux Falls, SD for a soccer tournament. Upon checking with my 7 and 9 year old daughter. The night person working the front desk immediately began to lecture my children on the rules of the hotel and that she would be watching on cameras for children not following the rules. She then went on to me that parents were not allowed to be in the lobby past 10:30 at night. I watched as she continued to lecture every family that came to check in the rest of the night. She would leave the front desk to go yell at children and leave guest waiting to check in. * Many of the teams had 8:00 games. A request was put in to have breakfast out a little early, she then said we should have been more prepared when we booked the block to let them know about the early breakfast request. * A request was made for towels for the pool. The same attendant told the person that maybe if kids brought the towels back to the pool there would be more towels there. * I witnessed many times this front desk women being extremely rude to children. She would track then down and scold and yell at them for being kids. Bring a few to tears. *The actions of this worker made this a very poor experience. She made this hotel not kid friendly and our Soccer Club will no longer use this hotel for group booking for the soccer tournament next year. I was appalled at how this employee treated the guests and their children.

Most comfortable rooms in sioux falls , the staff are alwaus very accommodating.

Overall happy with this hotel. Nice, newer, clean. We appreciated the room layout and decor.

We were tired and on our way home from Yellowstone. Great staff, nice decor, comfortable room...just what we needed.

It's hard to really rate because of the renovation work, but once finished it will be a four-star. Rooms are very good. The bathtub needs a non-slip bottom,

Very comfortable and spacious. Decent breakfast and good location to have a selection of restaurants; as much as you can have in Sioux Falls.

The only thing was that it was very loud. Everything from the hallway and outside could be heard.

Great place to stay, the only thing I would change is I would like for the little refrigerator to have a freezer department. We had freezer packs to keep our fruit cool, just putting them in the refrigerator didn't keep them as cool for our trip. It was the same for the other Springhill Suite we stayed in.

the big drawback for me was no wifi in the room just the lobby and that was worthless. Other that that nice place.

Easy check in, excellent continental breakfast! Very nice location, very close to the mall.

This room was an excellent value for a family of 6. We were very comfortable for our short one night stay. The location was great as our halfway point between the Twin Cities and Rapid City.

THis hotel was very clean and modern. Loved it and would go back again but would love to have a tub in the room.
