Honestly...I/we liked NOTHING about the property. This place is a role model for deferred maintenance. Apparantly, caulking is the only material holding this place together. Anthony J Langford

Very close to city center but very old hotel. need to renovate

Great location! Short distance to everything. Excellent view from the 22nd floor lounge. Food court and stores are right across the street. With regards to the room, it’s a little small and the mattress is firm, but overall, it’s still very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Only stayed one night but the hotel was nice and room was clean.

Nice Hotel, close to river and Chinatown. Stiff bed...

The concierge and baggage when we arrived were great and held our bags until check in while we explored. The check in and out was ok but slow. The one major issue is that they have 2 towers and your key only works on one set of elevators. No one explained this, it took not being able to get to our floor to figure it out. It is marked on the card they hand you, but no one bothered to point out which elevators we needed even as we walked the wrong way (this happened on 2 different trips, I didn't catch it till the second trip when it happened again). I also had a problem with breakfast. I thought I had included it but they said I hadn't costing us quite a lot of extra money. I had 3 rooms each time in 2 different towers and most of the rooms had mold in the bathrooms. The major plus is that is only a 2km walk to the gardens by the bay and the Buddha's Tooth Relic, both of which were wonderful.

There are black spots and white spots on wall of bath room. Upon closer look they turn out to be a fungus (mould). Room and outside Passage way also have smell of mould, perhaps due to wet season? but it is not avery healthy environment to stay with mouldy smell. Please take care of this problem. Big Construction going on next door but noise level is bearable and only noisy between 7 a.m to 0630 p.m so it is not a real issue but be aware of hacking and digging going on during day time. I have better experience with your hotel is the past. Please keep mould(fungus) clear from all areas and hopefully , I would have more enjoyable stay next visit.

Close to Chinatown, Merlion and many Singapore attractsions. Nice staff. Very clean, walking distance to MRT.

Had a good stay, arrived day after Grand Prix so they were busy. Overall no complaints. Good location to everything we wanted to do. Would stay again.

While the staff is cleaning rooms daily, the draperies are very dusty and the windows are dirty. The hotel has an outdated feel as the wallpaper is staring to peal off... The serving plates in the hotel restaurant are very dirty on the bottom, if you turn a plate over you will not want to eat out of that plate. I did even see a roach next to the bread basket and alerted the staff... The entrance is odd as the Lobby is on the 6th floor and the entrance is less than impressive. The location of the hotel is very good. With some updating and thorough cleaning this place could be a much nicer place to stay in Singapore.

Great experience: restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. Check-in staff lacked warmth. No clearly marked signs to the business center. No access to hotel public computer for checking-in of flights. Downstairs reception area: somebody in uniform should explain that check-in is upstairs and that luggage could be left downstairs which the staff will bring up. Dropping bags downstairs caused a sense of anxiety since, although the staff were in uniform, to a new guest to the hotel, I did not know if I could trust the staff at the baggage counter. There was no indication that it was the baggage drop-off point for the hotel. Staff acted like as if any guest should know that bags were to be dropped off downstairs. Overall, the hotel was good value for the money even though it was a little dated.

Nice room on the 20th floor with a great view of Fort Canning Park. Close to Clark Quey and multiple MRT stops and shops. Breakfast is also good. Two well maintained pools.
