This building was gorgeous, the staff all spoke fluent English, we had a lovely tea time and the sauna was the nicest I’ve ever been to. The only problem we had during the whole trip was in the pool. Apparently in Korea, it’s a rule to wear a head covering in the pool. The hotel offered caps, but they were all too small. My friend and I have long hair. The particularly disturbing part was that the worker would only talk to me and not my friend, even though we were together. I’m white, my friend is black, and we are both American and speak fluent English. He said “your friend needs to wear one too.” Why would he say it to me like that? Just say it to her, since we’re both right there. The whole experience was weird and awkward. I know Korea is very closed off from the rest of the world and it is not common for the average Korean to see foreigners, however at a hotel of this caliber should have staff that is racially sensitive. I hope the hotel can provide its staff with racial sensitivity training so it doesn’t happen to another guest.

Best hotel eva And ive been to alot of them.......

Having a room on the 95th floor, you can see far out to the horizon. Elevators are super fast so going up and down isn’t a problem. It’s just hard to find the entrance due to the fact that it’s in the middle of a huge shopping and site seeing area.
