Pay extra and go to a nicer hotel. Their "suite" came with Stains on the wall, a broken chair, and a Jetted tub that didnt work. Wouldnt stay here again and i dont ask for much.

A nice little room for what you pay (Santa Barbara hotels are very expensive). Nothing really bad about the place. Only complaint is that the AC smelled like mildew, so that should probably be looked at. I'd stay there again.

The room was nor clean. Sheets were dirty.

Property features/design was nice. Painting on front walls.

Room has mini fridge, microwave, iron, coffee maker and mini blow dryer. All needed essentials, although the blow dryer could use some lint cleaning. Also working heater. They provide small bar soap and shampoo. Continental breakfast included from 7am to 10am. Small bagels, coffe, milk n mini cereal.

The Sunset Motel is a nice place to stay, very comfortable nice rooms. It is in a fairly good location. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was toast, muffins, cereal and yoghurt. We would stay there again.

The rooms were packed with handy things any guest would like, such as a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer and free Wi-Fi. However, the rooms were very small (the king-size bed took up the majority of the floor space), the room seemed kind of tired/dated, and the provided toiletries (little packets of shampoo and one thin bar of soap that doesn't lather) were really subpar.

I killed 2 bugs in the room. Not enough towels, floor sticky, sheets with cotton balls

Close to gas station. Close to city bus route. Had everything we needed for a night. Breakfast is enough coffee is good.

Very small rooms, this was ok for a place to sleep and catch an early morning flight.

While the motel was clean and the staff was friendly the motel is very dated. It is across from a little mall so that made it easy to get something to eat but We were so uncomfortable in the room that we ended up leaving without staying the night. For the price of the motel, i expected more. I realize it is Santa Barbara so the prices are inflattted but I won't be staying there again.

We were looking for a place we could afford that would give us a taste of downtown Santa Barbara. We were booking late so it was harder to find places we could afford. There were six of us and we all wanted to be together. The room was spacious enough for six adults, central enough that I could do a run into downtown Santa Barbara and had modern enough amenities. All in all, it was good.

Upon arrival, hotel looked nice and clean. Had to wait a few minutes after checking in since they were still cleaning the room. Room looked nice and was comfortable enough to spend a night. The only down part was parking since they don't have a spot for every room in the premises. But SB is calm so I didn't mind parking on the street.

This motel was perfect for what we needed. Drove up from the LA area and needed a quick one night place to stay. While it wasn't near the busy part of State Street, it was an easy Uber ride down to the main part. Like $10. Not bad. The place was clean, located in a great little stretch of street that had anything we might've needed (7-11 for hangover supplies). The room was obviously renovated and had good features. We stayed in the jacuzzi tub room. The tub worked great. It was all so clean! Only one thing we noticed was when we first walked into our room, there was a slightly musty, damp smell. It seemed like it had just been cleaned either steamy in the shower or mopped (floors are hard wood, which I prefer) and then the door was shut. Problem solved by opening the windows and letting it air out. It had a good sized fridge and a full sized microwave. It was a little lacking on the power outlets for charging electronics but we managed. The price seemed a little high for what the motel is and where it's located but we did visit during peak season, so supply and demand I guess. We inquired about prices at a couple of beach front places and the prices seemed competitive. It is much busier down there so if you are looking for quiet, and to be kind of removed from the State Street, Funk Zone commotion, then this motel is your spot!

Spotless. Fun because of the unique furniture and spa in the room.

Enjoyed my time in Sunset motel room. The room we got was clean, comfortable. The other thing we loved is it's next to 7 eleven.

The hotel is like 2 miles away from the downtown area. We arrived late at the hotel and it was a quick check in. The lady at the reception is pleasant. The room was clean and had an air conditioner. The bed was descent. The only thing which was a little bothering was the noise from traffic at night, since this place is located right on the popular state street. Morning breakfast includes coffee, juice, bread , bagel, banana and doughnuts. A good stay for people who just want to rest for the night and take off early morning.
