The key cards never worked. We literally went through 15 in 3 days and we weren’t the only one having this issue. The room smelled horrible and was extremely humid. The shower had black mold in it and The AC sounded like a 57 Chevy. Tears in the carpet and all this for $300 a night. What a dumpster hotel.

There was an unemptied garbage when we got there . The next day we got back from being out all day and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. Towles were replaced but sink was dirty.

Reservation cancelled without notice on evening of arrival! Complete failure on part of management. They erroneously cancelled my reservation without notice, then completely failed to help come up with an alternative. Two days before my scheduled stay, I called and spoke with the manager to change my reservation from a two night stay, to a one night stay. After speaking with the manager, she informed me "you are all set, we'll see you on Saturday." When I called on Saturday evening around 8 pm to inform the hotel I would be checking in betweenCedar 11 pm and midnight, the night manager informed me the reservation had been cancelled at 6 pm on that evening because they did not have a form of payment. They did not bother to call or email me to inform me of this. Additionally, I had booked this reservation through Orbitz. My credit card was already on file for this reservation, so the excuse was completely bogus. So there I was with my wife and three kids, 200 miles from home with no hotel and nearly everything in Sandusky was booked. Ended up shelling out for a room at the Breakers on site at Point. Fortunately they still had availability. Really disappointed with the entire experience with La Quinta.

Very clean and up-to-date. Definitely not your standard La Quinta property. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Would stay at this location again. It’s very convenient to Cedar Point.

My reservation was cancelled for no reason. On the site it states the card will not be charged until check in. The hotel management states they placed a hold and it was declined so they cancelled it. That was untrue because they didn’t even attempt to charge my card. Then my sister had a room at this hotel as well and once we found out my hotel was cancelled at 10 pm that night, we called to make sure hers was still available. We were told yes she still had a room because now they are sold out. Once we left the amusement park, we headed to the hotel so she could check in. We arrived at La Quinta and was told they sold her room as well because they thought we wanted to cancel it. So she she too and my young nephew had no room at 10:30pm on a Saturday. We then had to scramble because it was 7 of us to find a room and be charged extra because of last minute booking. All of this was a true inconvenience for us both. We brought our family out to enjoy the park for the first time and Ohio and we had a terrible experience. We will never patronize any other La Quintas anywhere because of this terrible service. This was the worst and the staff were awful. No one wanted to own anything but placed blame on the consumer. Total utter disgust with your company and the customer service.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating the rooms were clean appearance wise but the toilet in the first room kept running so we had to be switched to another room that smelled like a whole cigarette factory a d i have a new born and didn't want to keep moving rooms
