Charming upscale cottages, amenities including a private beach, and a superb, service oriented staff made this a great vacation. Felt like I was leaving family at the end of my stay. Definitely recommend getting a golf cart if you want to see most of the island, although taxis readily available and affordable.

This property is possibly the most expensive place I've ever stayed, but you get what you pay for. Check floorplan before booking, because some rooms are smaller, but we booked a room about 700 sq.ft, including a screen porch for enjoying mosquito-free moments outside. Food is excellent (high prices). The pool and private beach are wonderful. Everyone rents a golf cart to explore around town. Awesome adventure excursions are handled by on-site Tuff-E-Nuff tours on site. I couldn't be happier with our choice to stay here!

The rooms did not have enough supplies (paper towels, trash bags etc). The dryer did not dry items as it should and required at least 7 cycles just to get thoroughly dried. The resort seemed understaffed. They did not tell us where to get towels for the pool, the WiFi was insufficient and dropped often, the front desk did not always answer the phone, and the food and drinks were way overpriced and was subpar.

Stunning property with wonderful staff. Cottages are charming, quaint and clean. View of the sunset from the patio restaurant was unbeatable! Tuff E Nuff took us out to the reef for a full day trip of snorkeling, swimming with sharks and a stop at Caye Caulker. Sherri, the tour guide was AMAZING!! She had a wealth of knowledge about sea life, great communication and people skills and a genuine live for her country! I could go on and on about her! She’s a natural!! All in all, a magical trip!

Townhouse style lodging was unique. Their private beach made our stay well worth it. You will need to rent a golf cart during your stay if you want to come and go in and out of the town. Walking is out of question. Remember there's $50 a day resort fee.

This property is a beautiful little world unto itself. They seem to still be putting some of the finishing touches on the property, so there is some construction going on. I loved the little villas instead of hotel rooms-I don't know if the pictures do them justice. They have string lights on the trees at night and it really creates a beautiful atmosphere. The pool area was very nice and dining offered some standard foods as well as Belizian fare. You really don't have to go off of the grounds to have access to a variety of restaurants and bars, and there were shops with local art and jewelry. The resort is about a 20 minute golf cart/cab ride from the drop-off at the water taxi terminal. I would try to arrange to have a cab to come pick you up to take you if you can. Having a credit card and some cash on hand will help you to experience everything- one night we tried to get food at a stand but they were operating on a cash-only basis. Some places take US cash and Belizean money, some are specific to one. It's good to have both if you can. Outlets are standard US type A and B; you won't need adaptors. Bug spray is a must-the mosquitos are hungry!

Unbelievable property, staff and experience!!!! Mahogany Bay is a must stay in San Pedro.

One of the most amazing properties I've stayed at. All the grounds are kept up well and clean, staff is so nice and attentive, and so many options of things to do. The private beach that this hotel has is stunning, crystal clear water with staff that will serve you drinks and food anywhere. There are beds in the water that you can rent as well as hammocks that are free and enable you to lay in the water all day. There are huts located on the property that are ran by locals that serve amazing food, some of the best food we had while in Belize. The staff here take time to get to know, remembered our names after the first night and would say using our names. Staff will do anything to ensure your are having the best time. 100% will be back.

There is 438$ no tax on miscellaneous when you check out with orbits or expedia

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights in July. It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful private beach (without any sargassum as was the case with many of the other beaches). Our room was rustic and the toiletries (malin & goetz shampoo and bodywash is a nice addition). The staff are very friendly especially the girl in the coffee shop!, food and drinks are good, and the spa is amazing. I highly recommend getting a massage. A few things we did not like: (1) one night there was a cockroach in the shower but it scurried away and we never saw one again (2) the private beach is NOT for swimming, the water is basically up to you knees even if you go farther out (3) beware sea lice at the private beach, these are little crustaceans that stick and pinch in the water...they were really annoying and made going into the water not pleasant but it is hard to control nature...(4) you need to be good with timing because the boat to the beach only leaves every hour and doesn't stay past 5:15 which is a nice time to stay at the beach but overall we would definitely stay again.

The private beach was really nice and the staff was very accommodating.

This is a very nice and unique hotel. The rooms and great house are very unique and like no where else we have ever stayed before. The local food shacks on the property have very good food at very reasonable prices. Lastly, the private beach club is absolutely amazing. We have been all around the Caribbean, and this is definitely the nicest beach and water we have ever experienced in our lives! Definitely recommend Mahogany Bay, and we would love to return someday.

GORGOUS private beach, lovely rooms, delicious food and awesome staff. I loved every single day here and already want to go back. The food and drinks on site can be pricey but the quality is worth it. The Rum and Bean and Taco Shack were both amazing and good bargains too actually :) Every staff member we interacted with was so kind and helpful. The resort itself is immaculate and tasteful, just gorgous, with beautiful landscaping and lagoon views. What a ridiculously awesome experience!

Wonderful Private beach. It is on the most southern part of the island so recommend the golf cart rental to get around. The staff was extermely friendly and provided a wonderful exeperience.

Wonderful time at Mahogany Bay. The staff was very friendly.

We absolutely loved the hotel!!!!! The staff were so great and treated us great from the moment I called about the shuttle till we left. The hotel is beautiful along with the great beach club. The only complaint we had was the hotel food. We ate lunch at the outside restaurant and both are meals were terrible. The empanada stand was the only good food we had there. The rest of Belize has amazing food so get out of the resort. I would absolutely stay there again and would highly recommend it!
