Inexpensive motels generally mean run down, and just a bes and shower. Sunbeam was inexpensive, but friendly staff, clean & modern room. They have a microwave, mini-fridge, Mr. Coffee, decent towels, on site free parking...If you're disabled, book ahead for a downstairs room. I'd stay here again and not think twice about it.

Overall good value for money. Check-in was quick and easy. Rooms are more modern than building. Comfortable bed. Walls are thin and can hear noise outside but super quiet during sleeping hours.

Clean; I like that there were sheets above and below the blankets, nice little touches like lamps with USB ports and photos of local landscape. Excellent hospitality.

Convenient Location, quiet except that one night, friendly staff, & reasonable price.

Great place with a great location. Ataff was very friendly and helpful.

People who run this motel are super nice and kind. The only thing I did not like was that the internet did not work at all.

It's just a plain and simple place to stay. Owners are very friendly and helpful; location is convenient. Room is clean but nothing exciting. Small but functional bathroom. Some noise from street and from in-room refrigerator, both of which are common to such places with similar locations. Met our needs for this trip!

Great experience! Everything is well maintained and clean. I've stayed here several times since, and it's always an easy and comfortable experience. It feels family run and the gentleman in the office is nice and respectful. They keep a pot of coffee in the office and sweets in the morning (there's also coffee in the rooms). I guess you could call it dated, but that doesn't mean in disrepair - all the bathroom fixtures were new and everything seems in good condition. My room was bright and well-maintained, not excessive but all the normal amenities (coffee, fridge, flat screen TV+cable). Honestly there's so much great dining, hiking, beaches and wineries nearby, you won't be in the room much anyways - you really don't need anything else. It doesn't have the sterile feel of a corporate remodel every six months, so if that's what you want to spend your money on then stay somewhere else. I'd rather save money for more great food and wine and know I have a clean and comfortable place to rest my head at night.

Convenient for visiting Cal Poly and walking distance to downtown. Room was clean but very small. Wifi worked great. Definitely a no frills place to stay but I was comfortable and safe.

The owner was very nice, but the place was average. Was there for a quick weekend trip.

Bed was not as comfy, shower curtain had mold, earwig on pillow, one guest had hives on her arms and neck after sleeping for one night.

There for 3 days. Mattress should have been replaced months ago - our backs were sore the next morning.

I would stay there again. This small motel is perfect for a short visit.
