It is a great place to rest. A cozy typical San Francisco stay-in hotel.

It had nice breskfast. It was in the safe part of a sketch area. They are remodeled. . There is a locked gate after recepion. only can open with your card . You are safe. Quiet. Best eats are feet away on corner. I was lucky.

Staff was kind. Rooms aren’t fully cleaned, and with shared bathrooms, the hallways are noisy.

Downtown location is good, accessible to most tourists attractions. Still in an area with lots of homeless people. Room is a bit small for 2 person but is acceptable. Breakfast room is big enough for the seating. Recommended for short stays.

I reserved and paid for my hotel room. And came in too early to check out and checked in my bag. When I came back to check in at a later time, they gave my room again probably selling it for a higher price leaving me without a room. They said they would put me at another hotel room I did not book. Luckily I have a friend I met at a conference that I can stay with. Now I have to pay for an Uber to get to that hotel with the terrible inconvenience of extra fee and wasting my time. The hotel is also in a terrible part of the neighborhood where you would not feel safe walking in. I would not recommend booking it even at the cheap price you get for it.

Had air conditioning, everything was clean, and staff was nice. Had a strange smell.

It’s an average hostel. One toilet for an entire hallway of rooms was a bit tricky, but we managed fine. I would advise those who are looking to stay here that this is a very rough area. If you aren’t comfortable walking through the worst part of SF this isn’t the hostel for you. Also, females who are traveling alone should steer very clear of this area.

Cannot over room door smoothly! Soap dispensers need replacement

Pros: close to everything in San Francisco. Cons: surrounded by crime. Closets for rooms (no shower or toilet) Very unsettling. The Stanley Inn used for The Shining was less creepy.

A hostel. Window springs were broken and wouldn’t open. No dresser. Only 1 toilet per floor. Toast and cerial only for breakfast. Very, very dangerous neighborhood. Human waste and urine smell on sidewalks. No commerce nearby other than liquor stores.

This hotel is a good value for what can sometimes be an outrageously priced city. Facilities quality is comparable to most Motel 6 settings: adequate and a little time-worn, fridge and sink, but a college dorm-style shared/bathroom shower. Those who can't fathom returning to the life of a college with a shared hallway bathroom and shower**, should obviously look elsewhere. For everyone else who isn't bothered by that, you'll be just fine. Bed surprisingly comfortable. Some people say the neighborhood is "bad," and I guess I understand why they feel intimidated with surrounding homeless and heroin users, but the reality is they would probably feel that way anywhere south of Market Street after dark, not just at this exact address. To contextualize, the brand new Hampton Inn is literally one street away. Granted you'll have a way nicer room, but you'll still be within within 50 feet of a frequent vagrant hangout spot, that also happens to be another 50 feet from a popular night club. That's just how the neighborhood is. I recommend this hotel for budget-conscious, independent, worldly travelers that are not traveling to "impress" anyone. Thus, I don't recommend this hotel for pre-nuptual couples. Relationships can end over challenges to one's comfort zone. For me, it was great.

Staff were amazing and attentive. However, neighborhood pretty rough with lots of homeless and drug use during the day. Had to be careful walking to avoid stepping in poop or on a syringe.

The overall experience was not the worst, BUT definitely could've been better. The location was great downtown area. The inside was nice, bathrooms were clean once maintenance came. The major downsides are NO decent parking for and extend amount of time and lots of homeless people outside of the hotel.

read the fine print. i was not expecting a lodging experience where the bathroom and shower required one to walk down the hallway to use two different rooms. There was a smell in the hallways and the walls are very thin. Poor night's sleep. Inappropriate for the business travelers.

Drug & Homeless Environment -- Definitely don't recommend for families with young children -- Place is not a HOTEL!!! -- It's more of a hostile or has community shared bathroom and shower which was not advertised

Not sure if its Orbitz or Minna Hotel Advertising but Advertisement Was Misleading!! -- Minna Hotel is located in a very Shady "Drug" Neighborhood of San Francisco - Not good area for families -- Minna Hotel is Small & Has Community Bathrooms & Showers, which was NOT ADVERTISED through Orbitz or Minna Hotel

Minna is above all one of the cheapest no frills places you'll find. It has a basic DIY breakfast with good coffee and juice included. Nice staff, clean rooms Skip if you can't stand shared bathrooms or if you're scared of the occasional homeless people in the neighborhood Drop by nearby Miss Saigon for fantastic Vietnamese chow
