Unique location, super clean.

Location was convenient!

The coffee shop on site was a great value. The heating unit madeca loud noise

The Sofia hotel stay we had over President's Day Weekend was excellent. This nicely refurbished older building/hotel seems to be doing all that it can to be welcoming and as-upscale-as-possible... It is true that the rooms are not large (due to it being an older building), but they make up for it with friendly service and clean rooms. I liked that there were two bottles of wine in our room, for purchase if we wanted, twenty-two bucks a bottle (one red, one white), and that they have filtered water dispensers at which you can fill your water bottles back up. Parking (at the hotel in a big open lot behind the building) is forty bucks (Feb 2021), so we opted for cheaper by dropping our things off and driving to a further lot. Due to Covid, at the time of our visit, their restaurant and bar were not open, but everything (Gaslamp Area, Little Italy and Downtown) are all walking distance with plenty of choices of places to eat. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean. The in-room coffee maker was an average type (meaning not very good coffee), but there is a café on the corner of the building where we bought better drip coffee (cappuccinos, etc offered there as well; it's a chain coffee place, but thankfully not Star-$s). I'd certainly stay here again if in the area and the price is right. Overall, we had a great stay.

Love the location central to downtown. Tried Sushi 2, delish. Would recommend. The front desk staff were wonderfully hospitable. The lobby was decorated beautifully. Our room was clean & perfectly sized. We received an upgraded room which was a corner overlooking the city on the 7th floor. Couldn't compare, but we were told our rooms were newly remodeled.

Cozy little rooms. Although the couple in the next room were having very loud adult relations which was interesting for my two children

We happened to get a room that was not set up very good for the sink area (all sink and no counter space and no where to put clothes or toiletries in the bathroom (one hook is all) and the room had a weird smell even after it was cleaned!! We loved the coffee area with the fridge and microwave!!

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. I was staying for a business convention and they seemed to be able to accommodate us all very nicely. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but the restaurant was incredible. I highly recommend the mahi mahi sandwich.

Nice location, clear and friendly staff. I was able to check in early which is always very nice.

Very close to the ocean. Very clean upscale boutique hotel. Walkable, safe.

Excellent and convenient location. Didn't care for the expense of parking daily.

The architecture, room amenities, friendly staff, location are the top features. Room was a little small, but adequate for a solo traveler. The lady who did the neighborhood walking tour was excellent.

Early check in and staff was very helpful. Hotel is convenient for getting around downtown and has a nice bar and restaurant.

Love this history of the hotel. Great location. The nicest staff. Very accommodating. Great part of our trip.

It is a really old hotel that lends a lot of charm. The location is great as well!

Everything was awesome, good job on the lending bike program
