The restaurant

It was in a great location walking distance from amazing restaurants

The pool is very small and does not get serviced. Room was dingy with no cleaning services. Great location but hotel is of poor quality.

It's very nice but the dance party lights in the elevator is what really sets it apart.

This was not a good choice, especially for over $300 a night. We checked in late, and the room that we had book had not been available apparently (2 queen beds), and they had to switch us to a queen with a pullout. No biggie, I would understand that. They stated that this was a "more expensive" room, but did not charge us for the upgrade. Definitely didn't feel like an upgrade. - Curtains had stains of some sort, not even going to try and guess what it was. - Curtains in the sitting room were not functional, would not roll up. - A/C leaked as soon as we turned it on, and quite a bt for sure. - Bathroom sink was backed up, and drained at a very very slow rate. - Barn doors they use for bedroom and bathroom doors were swollen on the bottoms, and would not slide easily and you could blatantly see in/out of the bathroom with the gap on the side of the doors. - Smoke alarm was removed from the ceiling and sitting on the sink counter when we entered the room. Told the staff, they said they would put it back up, never did. - Just generally noisy all day/night, and homeless people sleeping side on the sidewalk, that was my fault for picking this area to stay. - Parking was valet, as there was really no street parking available. $30/night - There was a a/c maybe heat unit in the main bedroom, that was behind the closet, and not accessible. Not a good place to place the wall locker/closet in that case.

Don’t book here ! The pool is so small and the water is hot ! Pictures online are deceiving. It’s a overpriced motel 6. You have to pay valet parking every night . Staff was great but the stay was horrible . No laundry mats . Never again

Our room was not ready when we got there at 3pm. We did not get into our room until 4:30pm. They said they would comp us the valet parking ($30), which is the only way to park there, since we had to wait. So far, it is charged on my credit card. We will see. I know there is a pandemic but not one amenity was open. No food, drinks, pool, breakfast, anything. The views from the roof are beautiful and the outside space is gorgeous but we couldn't use any of it. We want to go back when the pandemic is over and use the amenities. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Little Italy was in walking distance so we walked to get dinner. Clean, beautiful space that we want to try on another visit. Hopefully the experience will be better.

Parking fees were extremely expensive for the The kind of hotel.

Very friendly staff. Hotel is located in a great location. Walking distance to many restaurants.

We got in late so we checked in with the overnight crew, they were friendly but weren’t masked the whole time during our interaction, it made me a little uneasy but maybe San Diego has different rules than what I’m used to. The common areas were a little messy, it looked like people had partied a bit and no one cleaned up after, surfaces were grimy and sticky which made them very unappealing. When we got to our room it was nice and clean, a little small but you get what you pay for. My only real issue with the room was it took almost five minutes for the water to heat up in the shower. The first time I thought maybe it was a weird fluke but it happened every time. Another odd thing, the tv wasn’t great. It was supposed to be able to connect with our devices so we could stream movies or whatever but it wasn’t compatible. We tried to see if we could get any local channels but all we got was one random channel with Mandarin speaking cartoon characters. The parking area is valet only ($30 a day) which is cool but it’s very hard to get into during the day. It’s a very busy street with a lot of outdoor dining places so if you aren’t looking out you’ll miss it. The area was really cool though, a lot of great restaurants and fun stuff within walking distance. Overall not terrible but not great. Next time I’ll probably spend the extra money for something a little nicer.

Porto Vista was a nightmare of a hotel to stay at, the owner Moe Siry was terrible with customer service and has zero accountability. I stayed there over Labor Day weekend. In addition to being severely understaffed, the valet took over 30 minutes anytime I wanted to valet the car. Housekeeping did not clean my room on Sunday night and when I complained about it they said that two of their housekeepers had left early so there was no one to clean the room at night. Also the hotel valet broke the gearshift on my vehicle and the hotel denied accountability and they would not even give me their insurance information to file a claim. The owner said he carried out an investigation, but he never inspected the car or called me. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, the pictures on Orbitz are NOT pictures of the actual room.

Likes: great location, friendly staff; Dislikes: restaurant and lounges were closed (which I do not believe was advertised on Orbitz nor emailed to booked guests beforehand?)

Location of the hotel is great and the views from the rooftop and restaurant are beautiful. They have issues with the plumbing though. Toilet would not flush, you would have to mess with it several times, and the water would rise all the way to the top before going down. Also the sink water literally took 15 minutes to go down, the drain was obviously clogged. Maintenance took awhile to come and by that point my two little ones were sleeping and I didn’t want him to wake them up. Megan at the front desk was very helpful. She felt bad, she offered us complimentary breakfast and said she would leave notes for the manager to remove our $30 parking fees. Upon checkout the manager didn’t even mention anything or ask about our stay. I brought up the problems and told him about the parking, he said, “nope Megan didn’t put anything in the notes” as if I was lying. I was very disappointed with his lack of hospitality. At the minimum a hotel should have properly functioning plumbing.

If you like background noise then you’ll love being directly under the landing lane of San Int’l. Not to worry When the airport shuts down for the night the highway picks up the slack.

Fast check in, friendly staff, motel style property but rooms were nice and loved the views and location.

I would Definitely stay here again,it’s at a perfect location!

Its too noisy, we can hear people outside the hall. If they have a party rooms from that area can hear liud and clear a fart. Not good. The AC and heater needed to be checked out once in a while. More trashcans, vendors machines, ice available. Parking price is too pricey

We are sorry to hear you had so many inconveniences during your stay. Please reach out to the hotel directly so we can address these concerns. With 3rd party bookings, they sometimes overbook us for certain room types, which is why we did not charge you for the upgrade. Again, please reach out to us directly so this can be resolved.

Thank you for your feedback. Our rooftop has a spool, which is a Spa Pool, so it is heated. Also, you do not have to valet park with us. You could try and find street parking or park in one of the garages in the area. Unfortunately, our parking is one of the cheapest as it is in the heart of Little Italy. There is a laundry mat a few blocks away, about a 2 minute drive. We do hope you try staying with us again!

Thank you for your review! Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, our restaurant, pool and gym are all closed. We do have a beautiful rooftop area with amazing views of the bay and Little Italy that is in fact open for your enjoyment. We are working hard to have our pool open by next weekend! We hope you stay with us again when our amenities are all open!
