Don’t ruin your vacation. I hope the condo owners read this. The property is not a resort. Let’s begin with that. It’s a bunch of private condominiums managed as a resort. If you’re planning on using WiFi at any point during your stay - RUN AWAY. Seriously. The internet is practically not existent here. At <3mbps you’ll be lucky if your text emails even load. When asked about this to the lobby personnel they suggested I work out of the lobby. Interesting as all their advertising states high speed internet in the rooms. Let’s continue… There is also a tremendous amount of deferred maintenance at the property. You can see this from the flaking mirrors, yellow/stained towels, rust, etc. We stayed in the penthouse suite at the price ($300 per night) we thought the property or at least the suite would be well taken care of. It wasn’t. The view was nice but for the price I would have definitely stayed at Hotel Escondido again. Upon arrival at the Vivo Resort lobby they provide you with a whatsapp number in case you need anything. Once we started reporting problems they literally stopped responding our messages or calls. The staff obviously knows about the issues and prefer to avoid the issues all together. Not the property I want to stay in again. If you’re a property owner here, I highly suggest you take a trip to see how your investment is being run into the ground. Most of the guests we spoke with were having the same issues/complaints. It’s sad no one is doing anything about it

Plenty to like. Beautiful grounds, pools, beach. Nice, clean, modern room. Pleasant staff. We purchased a room with a Queen bed, but only had a matrimonial. The food wasn’t disgusting, but wasn’t great. No tortillas for several days in a row? But the worst part? Really spotty, super slow internet access. I wouldn’t think this should be such a problem these days. Rather frustrating. 😑

This was the second year in a row that my wife and I spent at Vivo resorts. We absolutely love it. The people are great, the accommodations are top notch. Having a full suite with kitchen really fits our lifestyle and Vivo makes it easy to stock up on everything you need for an extended stay.

In general the hotel was good but because of they are so far away from downtown, they should be offering more activities and/or options to commute

I had a wonderful time my bed was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and wonderful people. The food was delicious .

It's a nice place to relax in front of the ocean. The beach is not suitable for swimming since the surf can be dangerous. There is a lagoon, some three miles away, it's a beautiful place, but only after a long walk.

Hotel is awsome. My family was delighted by the hotel and staff. Beach had red flag all week long and was not recomended for kids since waves would drag you in quick. Only downside is that the hotel is about 15 km outside the city. There is NOTHING around it to get any supplies. The hotel has a small store on site but closes at 1100. If u arrive later than that time make sure u have something to eat because there is not even vending machines on site. We had 3 cookies n water to hold us until the morning fir breakfast. Not sure why store is not open 24 hrs since they have staff there all night. There is a shuttle from the hotel that runs 3 times a day to the city n back for about $2.50 per person, otherwise u have to pay for a taxi usually a small sentra for about $18 dlls. Limited amount of places that take US currency so make sure u have mexican pesos.

Desde nuestra llegada todo el personal fue super atento y servicial. El lugar esta hermoso y super limpio. Disfrute demaciado mi estancia en Vivo resorts.
