Great location 2 blocks from the beach and on the lake. Friendly and helpful management. The hotel is clean and is observing mask-wearing and social distancing.

As soon as we got to the front desk, the attendant was not around for about 15 minutes so we had to wait. For the high price that we paid, the room we booked was not I expected as seen on website, it was way more dated and untidy; found stains on the couch and hair on some of the chairs. The bed was SO uncomfortable that I ended up being sleepless overnight. The breakfast was dismal, expected a decent selection (it's a bed and breakfast after all) but there was barely anything served. The food was not at all great and the coffee was weirdly diluted. While the town of Spring Lake itself is beautiful and location was literally a few blocks walk from the beach and right across the lake (which is the only plus), I would not be coming back to this B&B nor recommend to anyone!

Liked the convenience of the restaurant being attached to the hotel.

Beautiful building. Clean rooms. Could use upgrading.

The hotel is in a good spot, close to the beach and on a small lake, and is attractive from the outside. However, our room was in very poor condition and in some respects disgusting. It had very dirty carpet, dirty/chipped wall paint, old and pilled bedding, unfinished wall repairs in the bathroom, dated window treatments and furnishings, etc. This is a “condominium hotel,” so it is possible that some rooms owned by investors are in better condition; ours was a hotel owned room and it was terrible.

Pool great. Staff accomodated request for beach towels and chairs. Breakfast just okay. Could use more towels for greater than 2 day stay.

We just needed a room for the night as we were at a concert nearby and didn't want to drive home. The room was neat and very quiet, the bed was comfortable. It's an older hotel so it's a bit quirky - which is great if you don't like the usual "big box" experience. Our room wasn't very large, but it was big enough for two - we've stayed in smaller places and this was a good fit. The only downside was the breakfast - it was a bit thin. With a restaurant in the hotel, you would think that they would use breakfast as a way to promote it and enhance the experience, but this was not the case - some bagels and english muffins, small fruits and yogurt, some cereal - not much. The coffee was very good, however. We might stay again if we're in the area for something.

This hotel only has about 19 rooms. All of them are different. To spite being buit in the late 1800s it's in very nice condition and less than 1/4 mile from the beach.

Excellent old world charm hotel very close to the beach. Beautiful area!

I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We are a small run hotel and at times are away from the desk assisting other guests. There is an electronic sign at the front desk that informs our arriving guests that they can call if they need immediate attention. The photos on our website are currently updated to reflect each room as each room is unique to itself within our property. We would also like to clarify that we are not a bed and breakfast. We are a condominium hotel. Our complimentary breakfast is a Continental Breakfast as we unfortunately do not have a kitchen to prepare a full breakfast for our guests. I do hope that you brought the issues in the room to the attention of the front desk as we try to accommodate all guests and address issues immediately. If you would like to further discuss this, please reach out to the hotel directly and ask to speak to the Manager. Again, We do apologize for any issues you may have experienced while staying with us.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We are actually in the process of upgrading the lobby areas on the first floor. We will be installing all new artwork, furniture, redoing the floors, and repainting. I am glad that you did enjoy your stay and we do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Thank you for reviewing us. I'm sorry that you did not like your room. You are right in that all of our rooms are individually owned, so you'll see some rooms look very different from other rooms. I hope you'll give us another shot and we can put you in a room that better suits your needs.

Thank you for reviewing us. Unfortunately, we do not have a kitchen, so we cannot make a hot breakfast. We try our best to give the best continental breakfast as possible though. We would love any suggestions, and we have no problem recommending great, local breakfast and brunch places in the area. We do stock and refresh the towels every day, so if your do not disturb sign was on, then we respected your privacy and did not restock the towels. And I'm sorry that we did not make it clear that you can always ask us for more.

Joseph, Thank you for your review. I'm glad you had a great stay. All of our rooms look and have different layouts, and typically we like to leave it up to the guest for whichever will be the best fit for them. I'm glad you were happy with your room. I am sorry about our lack of a hot breakfast. While we do have an excellent restaurant on premises, the restaurant is actually a separate entity from the hotel. It has its own owner and they lease out the space from the building. So we actually do not have access to their kitchen. We do try to provide as much of a continental breakfast as possible though! I'm happy to hear you liked the coffee. We hope to see you again.
