Not enough late night shows that were interesting

Amazing place, we been there with our 3 kids (9,6,2 years old) for all of them was really fun, we will be back

Everything was pleasing except for some service due to probably short on staff, the room service was not good no breakfast service the menu for room service very limited, when i stayed at royal hideaway i could order anything at anytime.

Just got back from 5 nights at the Maya. Originally planned on 4 nights but we were having too much fun. Stayed in the Junior Suite on the beach and loved the room. Great Covid safety protocols. Food was decent with a lot of options even with food allergies in our group. Only negative was after we decided we didn’t want to do the breakfast presentation we were harassed by our assigned concierge to the point of him becoming insulting.

Over all pretty good

Customer service

Very clean and beautiful grounds with lots of wildlife. The shows each not were terrible, even my kids wanted to leave just minutes in. The magic show was more about half naked women dancing and the rock show was both men and women prancing around the stage barely clothed. The quality of the shows was very poor as well. The most frustrating thing about the resort is lack of available dining options. Even booking restaurants multiple days out you had minimum choices that even had openings and most were around 9pm which is awful with kids.

poor costumer service

Beautiful grounds!! Service and amenities were great as well. I would of loved to enjoy the ocean a little bit more, but with the amount of see weeds that was nearly impossible. Even a walk on the beach is ruined because of it- they smell and the other Iberostar resorts have even more! Overall the resort is amazing, no complaints there.

Very good!

Plenty of things to do and staff very friendly!! Con: big so a lot of walking, no view of the beach from rooms or pools.

Great location, beautiful property, good food. Would definitely go back again

This is a large property and wasn't at capacity so there was always a chair to be had by the pool. It was a little tougher at the beach, however. Large rooms, not many with a view of anything but the surrounding trees but that didn't bother us. Some restaurants were great (Japanese & steakhouse), some were good (American grill, buffet) and some were to be avoided (Mexican, Italian). There isn't anything nearby the resort and their "shopping mail" is still closed due to COVID, so if you want to shop be prepared to spend at least $50 roundtrip for a taxi.

Paraiso Maya was awesome! VERY clean, very much appreciated steps taken during pandemic. Amazing location, close to beach, food was great (Japanese was our fav), service was excellent. Excursions were safe, not busy. Only negative would be lack of amenities due to virus (no hot tubs, shopping center closed) which is not the fault of resort. So all in all VERY pleased - 5 Stars!!!!
