We loved our stay here! The staff from every department was friendly and profesional (and always wore masks). The buffet meals were great in both the main area and the 2 lunch spots we tried by the pools. Also the lunches they set up by the main bar area was very convenient. The tried 3 of the "reservation only" restaurants and actually didn't like 2 of them as much as the buffet. We did really like the habachi place, even though it was a set menu. (They worked withthe vegetarians in our group.) The rooms were comfortable and they managed to get our group of 3 families in the same building together, which was very nice of them. The beach was nice and the activites were fun. I would go back for sure!

We expected a lot more for the money we paid. The property is out-dated. The bathrooms are a disaster and need a complete remodel. The beds and mattresses are so old and broken down that we hardly got any sleep. They have cut corners on pretty much everything... no room service which is a big deal to us because we have children that take naps or cannot eat much in a single sitting. No waiters/waitresses at the pool or beach. No bottled water and we appreciate the ecofriendly approach but at least for the mini bar they could put 2 bottles of water in the fridge. We do not drink alcohol so a couple of bottles of water/day are not much to ask for. The landscaping is beautiful and all the animals that live on the resort particularly the peacocks. The best thing about this resort was the STAFF... they were professional and friendly! It is not their fault that management is cutting corners. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this resort for our next vacation.

Like the property, especially the stuff, little disappointed with the beach due to the enormous amount of seaweed couldn’t really swim! Otherwise everything was very nice

The property it self was Great it was the lack of ambience there was no set schedule for food and if there was only employee know about it they should tell you that the schedule are different from the weekend an weekdays and that only one or 2of the restaurant without a reservation is open during anytime of day during weekend and on the week days there are only open during certain hours so if you miss the time to bad you have to wait there no room service or snack bar open and all dining is over at 10pm so if you drink during the day you might to remember to eat before 10 or else you have to wait till next day .There is no night life or dancing except for 1 hour after every daily show to the host of show trying to cheer the people up because of lack of entertainment. People who brought their own bluetooth speaker where better off after 7 you can only get drinks at the lobby while the same guy every night play same tunes on his trumpet. And if you go to steak house anything over 4oz of beef you have to pay. drinks are mediocre they only give bottom self for and mix drink or drink you have ask by name all mix drinks syrup are generic no fruit in them it reminded me of my younger day when i just want to get wasted and didn't care how bad it was or tasted just along as it got the job done . Place was clean disinfect and you did use a facemask when at restaurants but everywhere else was ok not too. Customer service was great

Bait and Switch- orbitz page says there is room service, all of these bars and restaurants, a coffee bar, items in the room, and more. When you get there, they will tell you it is $160 MORE per night if you want the items listed as included on Orbitz. No coffee bar, only 1 restaurant reservations for every 3 nights you stay, and they won’t do more unless you pay more. Also, they will send you to the concierge when you arrive to get a time set up to “view” the adjacent properties where the amenities are, but it is a ploy to pressure you into booking future trips through a service through them.(like the time share sharks at the airport). The property is nice, just do not expect to get what you already paid for... Also, Orbitz has been terrible on following through on correcting their page and following up on the bait and switch issues with the hotel.

The friendliest staff!

Very tropical, a lot of trees , a large variety of wild and friendly animals.

Iberostar Paraiso Beach was the first all-inclusive that I and my travel buddies had been to and overall we had a great time! There were some problems with communication (language barrier aside), and some issues with room service but overall the staff was pretty accommodating, and we had a blast. One concierge in particular named Alberto was so awesome, he helped us out even when he was off the clock. The food at the resort was good, only that dinner reservations were always booked so we had to eat a the buffet most nights. We were there for 4 nights and there was only one night when the buffet wasn't great. I'll note that anytime we ate out in town, the food in Playa was always better than at the resort. Also, we hadn't booked any excursions in advance but here was an Expedia rep on premise who helped us choose a day trip and gave us a discount, which was great. We'll be going back to Iberostar next year for sure!

The Paraiso Beach was closed to COVID so we were moved to the adjacent property Paraiso Maya - which is supposedly an upgrade. But it is all one property. The grounds are beautiful the pools are endless and there are always options for serene tranquility or lively entertainment. The food was ok, but again due to COVID I just think things were operating a bit differently. The personnel was extraordinary.

Great hotel and service, good food and plenty of activities

Huge resort and very clean. its unfortunate thay have some very unprofessional staff. The Breakfast buffet chef was very rude.

Great workers. Very friendly. Needs a bit of updates.

Even though the property was at reduced capacity everything was still open
