Never seen the owners, never could get a answer by phone from anyone. Its historical for sure. Our room smelled like something dead and decaying...maybe a mouse but not sure. The smell made it difficult to sleep , cars across the street keep doing burnouts for a good 30 minutes around 11pm. Once again could not get in touch with the owners. If i had it my way the owners should have payed us to stay! $203 lesson learned for one unpleasant night. Never again.

As one from the East Coast I was pleasantly surprised to see a copy of the New York Times by the breakfast coffee machine.

We could not get anyone to answer the phone to find out how to get there. On the answering machine it says they’re closed on Wednesdays. Our reservation was for Wednesday night. We gave your phone number on the answering machine no one ever called us back. The directions are confusing with GPS and we needed to speak with someone. Very disappointed. They have my credit card number and my money, I’m calling to have the charge dropped. Horrible

Our stay at valley ford hotel during a sonoma weekend was a great experience : - very friendly and accomodating staff on the phone before the trip and thorughout the stay - delicious food at the restaurant in the evening, a gem in the middle of the countryside, that saves you having to take the car back as only other options are 15-20min away in bodega bay, and to finish the night the saloon has a well stock bar - several close good vineyards like phelps nearby - rooms are charming and so are the goats and the veggie patch - while wors like saloon cowboy and goats can be scary, all the historic touches are done in extremly good taste, more of a victorian country house than a dusty ranch.
