Business trip so it was breif.

Unique style! Very clean! Friendly staff!

Check before you book as we were put down in the basement walking through a long narrow and very cold hallway to a closet sized room. Very disappointed

I booked a room with two beds. But they gave me one bed and put a small cot in addition. The place has many stairs to get to the room without elevator so have to carry your bags up and Down the stairs.

Looks like a castle. Real nice place. Didn't like the tv channel selection

There was a slight sulfur smell in the tap water each time I used it.

The Restaurant had excellent servers and the food and cocktail was great. The hotel was dirty, actually filthy. The elevator had trash inside on the floor! The bathroom light switch was grimy and had smudges....can only imagine how bacteria was living off that switch. The windows were in disrepair and the doors were filthy. I discussed this with the manager only to be told they are under renovation. I also was surprised with the $9.86 nightly parking fee (in Summit NJ?). I have been visiting this hotel for 20 years and it’s is no longer ‘GRAND,’ it’s old and decrepit. Management has lowered quality and increased fees....great recipe for more vacancies. Sad. Hope they wake up and get back to their high end market.

I really enjoyed the old fashioned look and feel of the property.

I liked the historical aspect of the property, but it came with it's own drawbacks. I do not like stand along HVAC units in rooms...

Location perfect and staff lovely. Historically undertstand conditions but the pictures are no where near the condition of rooms. Wall paper peeling and tired. Bathroom freezing terrible draft. Beds frames snd furniture old old. Kept clean but again..extremely out of date.

We stay there for three days the elevators smell really bad ( vomit) , we told the people of the front desk and no one did anything about it !

The hotel reminded me of The Shining. And as old too. It was musty and pretty creepy. We stayed downstairs, and it felt like a musty basement. The pool was dirty. Hotel staff was very friendly, and breakfast was decent, but I just really couldn't get over how dingy the hotel well, especially for where it is located.

Hotel was nice and clean the free breakfast was great walking distance to town and train to NYC the only problem I have is that the hotel changes $ 10.00per day for guests to park at the hotel witch I think is outrageous that should be free

Charming, class, elegance, but wear and age. Super tiny room (325). Basically, space for the queen bed, desk, and small chair. Grand hotel showing its age. You get all the creaks and noises associated with an older historic hotel. Bfast in the downstairs bar was a nice touch-fruits, cereal, breads, scrambled eggs (powdered?), waffles one day, french toast the other, bacon and sausage, potatoes, juices, coffee and teas. No newspaper. Wifi was fine. Exercise room was small and consisted of a few treadmill types, some mats, and a rack of dumbbells. $10+ to park after tax.
