Union Hotel checked us into a room that was already occupied. We came back to the front desk to alert them to the mistake and it turns out that they had moved someone else into the room that we had booked. Worse yet, they weren’t able to solve the problem. The only thing they could do was offer us a room that hadn’t been cleaned which they would still charge us for on top of that. We declined the dirty room and made alternate accommodations through Orbitz who confirmed the free cancellation with the Union Hotel due to the circumstances. To add insult to injury, the Union Hotel never reversed the charge so I was charged for two hotel rooms and now I’m having to spend time getting the charge reversed for the hotel room I never got.

Hotel Confirmation ID: 71258243 Booking ID: 1704453771 Itinerary # 7552580371116 I need a supervisor or manager from the Union Hotel to contact me ASAP about the reservation that both the hotel and Orbitz refuses to refund, on top of that receptionist of that even lied that I did not inform her that room was in unacceptable and did not match what I paid for. On top of that, she declined to refund me and provided misinformation. I will submit a credit card claim if I have to. I didn't even fit in the room, I couldn't even move around in the room. I want an official complaint done against the hotel, the manager, and the receptionist. I've called the hotel and no one picks up. The receptionist is a liar. I even took photos of the room. No one picks up the phone, the voicemail is always full. I want an official complaint against the hotel, the receptionist of that evening, and the manager.

It was a really nice building, nice service, and clean hotel room. Will definitely go back. The only thing I would've like, that the rooms would be bigger, they're tiny. Had to walk sideways along the footboard just to get across the room.

Authentic Brooklyn vibe. Good basic room. Very small space, but clean, quiet and all elements were in good working order. Not convenient to any airports.

Great economical stay. Poorly placed TV in room. It would be great if you could install a swivel for the TV so it can be moved to face the bed. Also, the lamp was barely in tact as it has been worn out over time.

Liked the Bigelow toiletries, did not care for the coffee in the basement

Wrong size bed for this sized room. Too big. No room to move

That I could check in early to get some rest for the Rock Hall Inductions!

Everyone was very helpful. Room a bit small and TV was mounted on wall but not facing the bed. It should be on a swivel so that it could be seen from the bed better.

Windows had gaps in them, freezing cold damp draft in the middle of winter. Hallways and lobby smelled like vape and vomit. Tiny rooms, thin walls.

This is the worst place I’ve stayed in New York. After checking in and collecting my payment for the reservation, the receptionist informed us there was no hot water. This should have been communicated first and foremost! Got to the room to find out someone was already staying in the room. We got assigned to another room with a smaller bed and less room space. The bed was super uncomfortable, the sheets had specks of blood stains, there was a leak from the ceiling and the towels were dingie. This was definitely not worth $200 a night. We left the next day and went to the holiday in, which is two blocks down. It was a lot cheaper, cleaner and spacious.

Not good. Can think of anything good to describe this hotel. Their billing practices are criminal
