Property is chic. Small but very comfortable. A block away from the Empire State Building and central to all public transportation. Staff was so welcoming and i will definately recommend and return.

This hotel is great in some aspects, but needs improvement in others. Great things include the location itself. At the corner of 35th St. and 5th Avenue, it's got easy access to the 34th St. subway station and main bus lines, so one can easily get to anywhere in the city. If you won't be spending much time in the room itself, then this hotel is for you. The room is nothing spectacular, but it does the job. A standard, single room has a queen size bed with nightstands, but not much else (two little "desks" may be in some of the rooms, but I only had one in mine). Though this may not be the case in every room, the phone in the one I stayed in didn't work, making contacting the staff a challenge (thankfully, I didn't need much from them, and they were friendly & professional whenever I needed something). A couple things I didn't like at all: the lack of even a mini fridge and the surprise "destination fee" that needed to be paid upon checking in (though the latter might be more of Orbitz's fault). The charge I initially paid looked as though it included the destination fee in it already, so I was shocked to have to pay an additional amount when I arrived. I have no problem with fees if they are presented clearly and timely (a guest deserves to know what he or she is getting into with bookings). The lack of a fridge, however, was pretty terrible. Many cheaper hotels provide this basic appliance. Overall, if you just need a roof over your head, this is your hotel.

The amenity was very disappointed. there's no body wash, toothpaste. and shoes (slipper) also. Room condition and Price was so good !! but amenity part was a little bit disappointed

Great location on the corner of E 35th and Fifth Avenue next to a Starbucks and breakfast/lunch eatery. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful in all areas, cleaning staff were friendly and did a fantastic job. Very happy with everything and will stay again!

I was so impressed by the excellent and accommodating service. It is in a great spot, right next to the Empire State Building and heaps of places to eat and drink. Yes the rooms are small but that’s NYC for you! All around, our stay was excellent. I highly recommend.

Front desk is great. Very friendly. Room is small. Really really really smaller than a dorm room. small. Pillows not great. Linens are clean pillows flat. Bathroom was clean. Housekeeping knocked on door at 9am. I was on phone call and also not dressed. When I didn't answer they opened door. This is a small room with no vestibule. Door locked was on but she saw me sitting on bed in my underwear. Not cool I was not checked out. TV service is good. It is reasonably quiet for NYC. I was traveling alone so room size was ok but the rooms are bed sized cubicles. Close to everything

Great location & clean- small room but cheap and exactly what I needed

Great location. Rooms are quite small (usual in NYC) but clean and you can even have a view on Empire State Building if you are lucky

Good location. Great staff. Small rooms but all was good and enjoyable.

The hotel is perfect for just sleeping for the night. There is plenty of space for two people to sleep, and you also have a private bathroom. Great space for the price

Staff is very friendly and location is excellent. Rooms are ok although there is no amenities (gym, restaurant...) inside the hotel. I was lucky to be upgraded in a bigger room which was ok for 1 person.

No bathrooms in the lobby (you have to use the bathroom at Starbucks adjacent to the hotel), no coffee maker, no clock and not one chair in the room. The cover to the toilet seat was so close to the counter it wouldn’t open properly and kept felling down, constantly hitting me when I went to the bathroom (gross!). The button to the one elevator in the lobby was malfunctioning so it took awhile for it to get the signal to arrive. Room is tiny, but to be expected for nyc. Very old and bare bones hotel. Walkable to Subway. Staff was ok. I would not choose this hotel again.

Good location, room was small with no closet or dresser. Room was warm and not stuffy and very clean. Bathroom was clean; right next to a Starbucks and a 5 min walk to Empire State Building. Overall, great room for the price.

Dear Anonymous Guest, We’re glad that our staff was friendly and professional during your stay assisting in any way that they are able. I’m sorry that you felt that either the hotel or Orbitz was not transparent enough bout the Destination Fee that is collected upon check-in. As per Orbitz.com, when a user is booking a hotel, there are two totals that are shown before confirming. One states “Pay Now” for which Orbitz/Expedia would charge the card immediately and the other is “Pay at Property” which is expected upon check-in. The destination fees are included in the latter. Unfortunately different sites display the fees differently which is not under our control. We thank you for staying with us and hope you will try us again.
