The rooms are very old and the bathroom was very small. The hotel itself was beautiful. Nice staff. Excellent location. Great restaurant inside.

I have very mixed feelings on my stay. The location was absolutely PERFECT, walking distance to all the great stuff in NYC, but best of all it's less than a block from the main subway station! the staff were always very helpful and courteous. We were even allowed an early check in as we got in much earlier than I had expected. The property presents very well and has a beautiful lobby and great rooms. I don't know if our issues would be the same as everyone else's, but I can only speak to our own room. The safe, phone and TV remote did not work, the bathroom door did not close all the way, and the refrigerator was very finnicky. Our key cards did not work multiple times - we literally had to get a new set of key cards every day, which was inconvenient because we did not find out they did not work until we went all the way back up to our room.

The lobby was really nice and it is busy. My room was much smaller than anticipated and it had a weird smell, kinda damp or moldy. There was an explosion on my floor due to a junky which made me question the level of service they offer.

Great price but you get what you pay for. Very outdated and just old. Bathrooms were in terrible condition. Maids did a great job cleaning. Concierge was always polite.

Like the location, central to trains and in midtown and that they offer suites. The hotel room though is showing it's age; torn carpet, broken tiles, chipped paint.

Only great for location

The hotel’s location itself was perfect. Very close to Penn Station and not too much of a walk from Times Square. When you enter the lobby, it’s beautiful. But as soon as we entered our room, we were gusted with a really really bad smell coming from our bathroom that did not seem to go away. We asked to change rooms. Even in the other room, there was that smell. My kids couldn’t be in the bathroom for more than 5 minutes without feeling nauseous. We asked the staff for blankets, going downstairs and calling in, but nobody came. We had to sub do with the bedsheets for my kids. There were three people working downstairs and couldn’t manage to keep up with the customers requests. Overall, great location, not so great rooms and service.

Decent hotel that did the job of having a place to stay. Good location. We had to wait a pretty long time to check in since there was only one person at the front desk. We asked twice for bedding for the pull-out couch and never received it.

The lobby gives you a modern updated feel. Once you step into your room its like a step back in time (about 40 years). Seems like any upgrades in the room were shodily done. Not enough room in the shower to turn around. Windows are drafty. Room was spacious though. It's location, be prepared for all lot of street noise throughout the night. Staaff there is very pleasant.

It is a very convenient and nice hotel across from Penn station.

Great price but you get what you pay for. Very outdated and just old. Bathrooms were in terrible condition. Maids did a great job cleaning. Concierge was always polite.
