Great little boutique hotel in Chinatown. Close to bridge to Brooklyn (e.g., Williamsburg) and the Metro. Hotel is was clean and the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very cozy though.

The Hotel Mimosa was a very reasonably priced option for a night in NYC. It was easy to access, within a few blocks of several subways and by the Manhattan Bridge. We had a Queen room for two adults and while not a large room, it was comfy and clean. Our room faced the bridge and yes, there was some noise, but it is New York, there is always noise (We are from the Midwest and do not live in a well populated area, but the noise was not overly bothersome) . The front desk staff was SO helpful with directions, guides and they have coffee and tea in the entry. They also had a printer and computer in the basement to print boarding passes, which is very helpful. The free wi-fi worked well and once you read the instruction card for the tv, it was a nice selection of cable channels. While not a luxury hotel, if you are on a budget and want to stay in a real neighborhood, not the typical chain hotel, this is a wonderful place.

The hotel staff were very nice to us during our stay. We thought the beds were very comfortable too!

The room was small-ish but perfect for 2 people and very clean. It had nice furniture and the coolest light. Nice amenities provided right in the room and great Manhattan location. I loved it.

Don't eat @ Kings Chinese restaurant around the corner from the hotel.

I LOVED staying at Hotel Mimosa. I stayed two days in Times Square and staying at Hotel Mimosa was by far a better experience. Don't be shy about previous poor reviews. This place is incredible. The staff is super friendly. It's in one of the most real parts of NY where you can really immerse yourself in the city culture of Chinatown and the Lower East Side. The rooms were small, but the bed was at least a queen and it was the perfect amount of space for two people with two large bags. This is a place I'll be coming back to in the future. I can't stress it enough. Don't pay attention to previous bad reviews. This place is perfect for the price and location.

This hotel is... ok. The rooms are small and have very little in them (in our case, just the beds, a small table, and a rack with some hangers). There was no way to control the heat or A/C, and I'm not sure they were actually working. There was very little space to actually walk around; if you had much luggage, you would have no where to unpack it and no where to store it. But it was clean, the beds were decent, the bathroom had everything you needed, so I would stay there again as long as it was an overnight and all I needed was someplace to sleep.

You get what you pay for. Small room with everything you need except refrigerator and microwave.

The rooms are tiny and not very clean. There were unidentifiable stains on the carpet, blood streak/stain on the bedding. Elevator was out of service the whole day making us carry the luggage through the stairs. Location was pretty good and the staff were friendly. Good for short stay for cheap (for New York standards).
