I paid for room with a single bed. Was put in a tiny room with bunk beds. The reservation was not in their system, so had to waste about 30 minutes trying to check in... Overall worst experience. I want my room payment to be refunded in full.

as long as you don't expect you will be fine. the facility is relatively clean, but I was surprised how limited open swim hours are (1.5 hours during my stay!), and there seems to be strange rules like no visitors allowed in room. bathroom was adequate but pretty busy during my stay

The price is low and clean tv safety quite pool gym

Basically it’s a place for sleeping and not much else as I didn’t use the workout facilities but, for what I needed it was great. I got a good nights sleep and was on my way!

When I checked in I was given the key to the wrong room. i went up and tried to unlock the door and another guy popped out from inside. The guy was nice, however the situation could have been worse. I could have been shot !!!!

Cozy and clean everything is great gym inside and pool inside

Despite offering inexpensive hostel type of rooms, the bathrooms were shared and filthy: there was no toilet paper or soap. Getting in and out of the hotel was a hassle because of reported renovations, but free parking was a plus.

I had low expectations and was surprised at how clean the facility was. It's an old build and has some yesteryear quirks, but my stay was comfortable. The staff were helpful and allowed me to store my bag all day before I checked in.

convenient to final stop #7 subway - for those late-nite arrivals at JFK

Nice and somewhat comfortable and budget wise is ok too...with all close by like subway system and Restaurants...and shopping centers.

Excellent customer service and friendly staff! I would defiently visit again:)

This is the worst place I have been it's like a homeless place don't even want to say anything about that place think of it make me sick

Use earplugs if you need to sleep, I was woken up around 1am on a Thursday night by several men talking loudly on the street. If you have a car, read the parking signs carefully. Very worthwhile as a lone traveler, though I would spend the money for a motel room if I was with someone since I wouldn't save as much money staying at the Y.

Spartan lodging as expected, good for people who don't hang out in their room or anyone familiar with hostels.

I booked a room with two people . The picture on the website showed a bunk. When me and my friend got there they gave us a full size bed and the reason is being "we are not a hotel and you get whatever we have left " Please don't trust the picture. If you still want this , please call the right after you book it to make sure you get the correct room.

It was a good hotel, room was clean with courteous staff...except bathroom was on sharing basis...it was little hard for me due to my health issues....and it was quiet a walk to the train station. Otherwise, it was okay.

Like the old saying, what you paid what you get...I was hire to work a short term project, needed a cheap place to stay while I was in NYC area... so I found this place in Queens, I didn't know the room doesn't come with restroom. you have to share community bathroom but only 3 stalls of showers, and 3 stalls of toilet... for the whole floor... over 40 plus ppl per floor. The motel really need to step up cleaning routine for the community bathroom&toilets...seriously.... it really stinks... plus there were some really questionable charactors roaming around the hallway, and sitting outside smoking at night and early morning... very scary. there isn't any security in patroling the hallway or walking around building during my stay, didn't see one. The room was really really small, the room and floor carpet has moldy smells, I had the window open during 4 days stay, the smell still there... for the price of $89 plus tax, I think I could add some dollar to find a better place to stay next time.

if you have nowhere to stay, go this ugly place. otherwise stay away! dirty, far from city, uncomfortable..

as the title suggests - it depends on what you need - the flushing ymca is close to the venue (billie jean king tennis center) and that makes it great for what i need. it's really not that economical - if you're looking for a fabulous hotel experience - forget it - it won't measure up

Hello, I am sorry to hear that your check-in experience was not pleasant. Sometimes online reservations do not download properly. We sincerely apologize for this. Unfortunately, we can not issue refunds for bunk beds. As we are a hostel the majority of our beds are bunks. It was considered a free upgrade. Again, I am very sorry that this experience was not as you expected.

Thank you! Hopefully next time you will be able to check out the café or fitness facility, even if just to sit in the sauna! :)
