Both the front desk staff as well as the breakfast staff were warm and welcoming. Some of the best service I’ve had at a hotel.

The staff was very nice, the rooms seemed just re-done and very clean. The only thing I can say negative is that I wasn't able to get housekeeping to go though my room even though I put out my sign to have it cleaned.

The hotel has an excellent location, close to different sources of transportation. The hotel is beautiful and clean

Garbage in the lobby overflowing constantly! 3 elevators for 30floors, 2 only working extremely slow at that! No signs of wanting to be fixed. Outside of property surrounded by homeless and other type of people smoking pot and blocking your way of getting in. We found pills under tv, and dirty used underwear under the toilet. Room looked like it hadnt been cleaned since before the pandemic. We had to ask for towels, washcloths and floormat... Bathroom furniture was off hinges and beat up. Same for the room.

I understand that it is NYC, but our first night there we had to call the front desk several times because a guy kept banging on doors and screaming down the hallway that he was going to kill someone residing in another room. This happened over the course of several hours in the middle of the night. My last call ended up being straight to the police department instead of security at the front desk because they couldn't seem to handle the situation. This is supposed to be a secure area where you can only get in if you have a room pass. No one could explain how the guy kept getting to our floor. The next day the toilet stopped working correctly and the water kept running non-stop. I called the front desk to inform them and they said they would send someone up immediately. No one ever showed to fix it. On the third day I decided to lift the toilet lid and see what was going on myself. The water line had become disconnected so I just re-attached it myself, but I would have preferred someone who worked there to have done that in case anything else was wrong. There is supposed to be no smoking in the hotel as well, and while I understand that they cannot control their guests once they enter a room, the smell of marijuana from rooms and down the hall was overwhelming at times. Overall, it was not a good experience for us to stay there, and while the staff was always nice to us, I don't believe that we will stay here in the future.

pros: Room was very nice. Great view of Manhattan skyline. Affordable. Cons: people outside area were questionable. Wish the breakfast buffet was better. Covid is no excuse.

Didn’t like that the hotel is next to a building used to house the homeless, every night there was a homeless person wandering on the sidewalks talking to themselves, made me feel unsafe, the staff there has attitude just like almost everyone else in new york, the view and room wasn’t what we expected, the breakfast provided was the same everyday which included a hard plain bagel with a no flavor blueberry muffin and apple juice, overall our stay was okay but we recommend staying elsewhere in manhattan.

There was a party going on in the next room at 5 pm when we checked in. With a lot of people going in and out despite the Covid limitations for 2 or 4 people only, what is the room occupancy and no guests. At 9 pm I took the elevator and 6 young people piled in, took off at the same floor and went to the party next door, which got louder and the smell of marijuana was everywhere. Hotel staff did nothing to stop it, but offered to move us to another room. The new room was dirty, the window was broken, could not close and was hold together by duct tape, the noice of NY was in. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but we left first thing in the morning. We did not feel safe with our kids, actually it was dangerous, in this pandemic time. I asked for a refund for the second night, still waiting on it. Breakfast was packed in a bag - Moto apple juice and bagel with cream cheese, that was it, no water, no choice. I will not recommend this hotel if you are traveling with children.

Pretty good location. Close enough to walk to some of the attractions and easy access to the subway. Felt pretty secure there because of limited access to guests with keys only. The breakfast definitely did not draw me in but to be honest i was more interested in getting bagels from a deli anyway so it wasnt a big loss. All in all would stay here again!

March 2021: When I booked this hotel, it stated a complimentary breakfast was included. I called the hotel to inquire about the breakfast during COVID-19 & they stated it was a “grab & go”. I assumed this meant that you choose your items & take it to your room to eat. Upon arriving, I discovered that “grab & go” meant “a stale bagel & cream cheese with juice in a bag”. It was the same breakfast every morning. Had I known this, I would not have paid extra for this “complimentary breakfast”. The hallways reeked of cigarettes & weed. The rooms smelled wet/moldy. The room was dusty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. We found a USED SYRINGE on the floor next to the bed. I’m not sure how housekeeping didn’t discover this. When I showed the picture to the front desk, they stated they couldn’t get someone to clean until the next day. I told them it’s a safety concern and they apologized and asked if I want the housekeeping tomorrow. I booked the room for 4 adults but there were only towels for 2 in the room. The AC wall unit did not work. We tried putting it on auto/cool & it wouldn’t turn on. We had to crack the window open for ventilation. The water heating system didn’t work. Water would cool after 1 person showered. The pipes would also make noises. Non-residents were hanging out by the entrance smoking weed at all times. No security. Only pro was proximity to Times Square. Would never stay here again even for free.

We weren't told we couldn't park across the street from the hotel so when I woke up the morning after arriving there was a ticket and boot on my car

I would advise anyone NOT TO BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. They have dirty rooms and the sheets are dirty. They state you are to tell them the day before that you want your roomed clean and then they don't even clean your room. And Orbitz does not help you with trying to get the issue fixed. They allow homeless people inside of their lobby and it makes you feel really unsafe.

The Location Of This Property Is Nice,But The Interior Is Horrible. The Room Was Extremely Dusty & The Shower Didn’t Drain Properly We Literally Stood In Dirt & Filth Each Shower We Took. The Water Came To Our Ankles,This Location Gives Marriot A Bad Name! We Won’t Be Staying There Again & I DO NOT Recommend! This Location Definitely Needs A Few Updates & Remodeling To It.

The hotel was fine. But the surrounding area at night scared me to death.

I didn’t like the customer service, from the front desk supervisor

Breakfast was grab and go which should have been known before booking. I terrible bagel and orange juice is all you get. No microwave or toaster. No room service. So much more issues but I don’t feeing like giving it the time.

no cleaning room and awfull breakfast It was not a good experience

Very dated and a lot of people smoking Pot in the hotel room that you can smell in the hallway. Homeless people in front of doorway.
