Not for older folks. Room lighting switches odd and no instructions on how to use. No room service. No coffee maker in room. Towels restricted to one bath and one hand towel per person. No extra towels, pillows in room. Drinking glasses hard to find (who puts drinking glasses in the cabinet below the bathroom sink?) Bed was a little too soft and very low. 2 chairs in room were both unstable. Elevator required room key to use and was, as the hotel check-in employee told us, "finicky" meaning that you had to try multiple times before it worked. Friday night had very loud people in the hallways all night long. All in all we wish we hadn't stayed there. On the plus side - very close to an access point for the High Line Park, Citi Bike station very close, good food nearby.

I was very unhappy with my time spent at dream hotel. I was expecting it to be a top notch hotel. The fridge didn’t work upon arrival. They didn’t clean my room for most of the weekend. I went on to explaining how unsatisfactory my time staying at the hotel was to the hotel manager and he was combative towards me. Workers at the hotel were saying that the hotel hadn’t been open in a full year and they weren’t maintaining the building properly during the time it was closed. So when they opened up they just threw people into rooms that probably haven’t been checked or looked at in over a year. I felt like I got robbed. Terrible experience

Furthermore hotel guests can’t use the pool unless you make a reservation (sold out during our entire stay) and pay $100/person. That’s a disgrace in my mind.

Basic room but very comfy bed. Lots of food and nightlife inside and around the hotel. Gets very busy at night. When staying on a higher floor you hear the music from phd all night so if you like quiet stay on a lower floor.

The property has unique features: frosted glass bathroom, stainless steel shower curtain, push button lights. The lobby is modern and fun. What LOOKS cool and what makes for a comfortable environment are different. The glass bathroom means that you cannot turn on the bathroom lights without the entire bedroom being illuminated. The stainless steel counter top and shower curtain are loud each time you use them. The push button light dimming system requires more work to understand than it is worth. Our bedroom was directly above the Dream nightclub which afforded us the chance to hear the subwoofer booming until 3:00 am and the street noise was awful. We’re from SF and I’m not noise sensitive. We’d never stay here again.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. Non-hotel guests at the pool assaulted me and staff came to their defense. It later become obvious that the staff and non-hotel guests were friends. I asked for a manager on multiple occassions, and was told by someone who appeared to be security that he was in fact the manager. I asked the hostess to please call the front desk and she informed me that she did not have their phone number. I went back to my room, took my stuff, and checked out. For an establishment such as the Dream hotel, I am in complete shock that this behavior would be tolerated. It is was very apparent that the people who assaulted me were highly intoxicated and potentially even not of age. I indicated this and received no feedback other than there was nothing the hotel staff could do. If you are looking for safe and respectful environment- do not chose this hotel. They allow anyone off the street to enjoy their amenities and from my experience many of the hotel staff invite their friends and will protect their violent behavior towards guests. Avoid at all costs. There are so many other wonderful options in the Meatpacking area- do not waste your money and time here for a terrible experience.

The club is in the hotel So it’s fairly easy to find things to do, also the lobby waiting area is very nice

Front desk sent me to the wrong part of building. They need to know where thier own rooms are. A request for “four glasses got me four robes’. Some areas of the room were a bit beat up. Table top wood splitting. Come on, I was in an expensive suite. Upscale hotel, higher price rooms, please keep up with yourselves.
