While our room was quite nice and appeared clean, we were overall disappointed by our recent stay. Part of why we chose this hotel was for the amenities like concierge and the rooftop pool. Both were unavailable to us during our stay. We tried Monday morning to visit the concierge desk only to be told that the concierge was off Mondays and Tuesdays and that no one else there could help us make any reservations or plan any excursions! The lack of service or help was disappointing. We also tried to use the pool Monday and Tuesday only to have it chained closed on Monday. We asked Monday if it would be open for use on Tuesday and were told it would be. However, Tuesday came and the pool was still closed. Another disappointment. For $300 a night, I expected more.

Great property, central location, comfy beds.

Understaffed - no baggage help, no luggage carts, broken toilet took 30 minutes to even report for repair. This is the sort of crap I expect of a roadside Super 8, not a Hilton, much less the Waldorf brand. There are far better accommodations in New Orleans for the price.

Valet parking was convenient but very pricey. The mini bar and condiments in the room were extremely expensive as well. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and full of history and I will definitely stay there again.

One of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in!!! Candyman at the door was memorable.

What a beautiful hotel with staff that were very nice and attentive. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would say the only down side is the restaurant food was less then I expected. The food seemed pre-packaged and salty. The burger was undercooked.

Wonderful, historic building with very kind and accommodating staff.

If you want to be double charged for nothing & horrible service stay here..... I booked 2 rooms that were booked on Orbitz paid in full then the hotel proceeded to charge me again for the entire stay on my credit plus DOUBLE parking fees. We had one car. So instead of costing me $2700 for a weekend, the hotel charged me double of $5700!!! I have talked with finance dept., after being put on hold forever & transferred from person to person. The hotel said they were sorry for the mistake & we will credit my credit card, but they keep proceeding to charge me a week later for an additional $900. Finance dept., said they were going to call back within an hour today to make sure credit was done. SHE DIDNT CALL BACK! Now I’ve had to call my credit card company to report & to stop the fraud charges on my card. It’s been 2 days to get this credited and no such luck. Plus still getting charged!!!!! The hotel literally has maxed out my credit card. Im so upset & pissed. This is has been one of worst experiences. This went from a great birthday weekend memory to the being the WORST memory.

The staff are exceptionally friendly, ready to assist to make your stay wonderful

Beautiful Old New Orleans hotel in a great location just a block over from the French Quarter. Clean, helpful staff. Excellent lounge and dining there. Would definitely recommend it.

Like how it has the old time look and feel of higher class. Was within walking distance to everything that we had planed to do on are trip. Was clean and very well maintained. Service was a little lacking. Called the from deck a few for some water bottle to be brought up to the room and they never arrived. Water pressure in the shower was very poor. And couldn't utilize the extra shower Jets, or tilt them so that they would hit you. But great place to stay.

It feels very historic and elegant, very old-world. I know it was fairly full during my stay, but it never felt crowded or noisy. I literally could not hear anything from the hallway or the next rooms. The service was very good (except in the small cafe -- that was disappointing), with just enough attention, but never intrusive. My room was in Tower 1, on the second floor, so I didn't have a view of anything except the roof of the next building. However, there is a lovely rooftop pool with bar service which was perfect for relaxing. The room service food was excellent. The hotel is across Canal Street from the French Quarter, so I wasn't kept awake by tourists partying all night long. This was a real gem, a splurge that did not break the bank. I definitely would like to come back to NOLA, and would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay. Very elegant hotel with great staff and great customer service
