I'd would definitely stay here again.

It's a well maintained property. I like the feeling of living in a historic building. The hotel is in a quiet street. It is just one block away from St. Charles Ave. There are plenty restaurants near by.

The building itself--old--has interesting architectural features and has nice interior details. The small back patio is a pleasant place to sit for a few minutes in the evening. I enjoyed the breakfasts, which incorporated local products and changed daily. Kim, who runs it, is v. pleasant and helpful. It is close to the St. Charles St. trolley and a number of good restaurants. My only complaint is not specific, but rather general: Do NOT ask me to tip the person who cleans my room. Incorporate that cost in what I am charged. Thanks!

Kim, the manager, did a good job getting us accommodated after we arrived to find out there was a booking error on the dates from Orbits. Very nice facility.

First visit to NOLA - felt like a tropical "old Montreal" or Quebec City setting. 3 day trolley pass for $9 was terrific deal as we took dozens of trips to Latin Quarter, French Quarter..visited the museums and old cemetery (some within walking distance) Would have taken advantage of the lovely courtyard grounds more if it had of been a bit cooler. Kim was very helpful with arranging things for us. Nice change from the big hotel chains..breakfast substantial and made with only fresh & natural ingredients.
