Unique old mansion in garden district. Stairs are steep, but very beautiful.

Just book here. The property is gorgeous. There is amazing live music in the parlor on the weekend. The new management team is remaking this venue into a music, event and hotel. Friendly and interesting people. A few rough edges as they get up and running. But the community and energy here are wonderful. And, yes, we got some ghost connections too.

Under new management. Renovating is underway. Excited to see how they will take it back to its original grandeur. Will stay there next time we are in town.

The mansion is beautiful and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in New Orleans.

There was no hot water in either the tub or sink. Housekeeping came in even with a do not disturb sign on door.

Unique property with a good location and display of antiques

Beautiful old mansion in the garden district with warm southern hospitality

This is a fabulous historic mansion in the beautiful Garden District of New Orleans. We stayed 2 nights in the Gone With The Wind room and loved it. Melanie, our host, made us feel right at home and gave us lots of hints on where to eat and what to see while we were in town. Highly recommend this place!

Staff was very helpful (especially Irene). My flight was cancelled and did not get there until the next day. Location is good, only a short taxi ride to the French Quarter and far from the noise in a quiet neighborhood. This place is a house, so make sure to coordinate your arrival time.

Had a few bumps but overall the place was amazing & wonderfully accommodating! The owner was the most amazing man ever & made sure our stay was everything we hoped it could be & more! The hotel was in close proximity (within walking distance) to all the Garden District has to offer, including the short streetcar ride to the French Quarter! I look forward to going back & will be sure to contact THE OWNER & stay at Magnolia Mansion!!!

The mansion was nice, but would not recommend it to anyone. We arrived Friday afternoon and the room temp was warm. We complained to the staff, and they looked at it simply saying it would cool down. The bathroom did not have any toiletries, the walls had mold and the paint was peeling. It was not well kept. The temp did not cool down by the morning, our sleep was very uncomfortable. We went down stairs to notify the front office, no one was there, there was a post it note to call a specific number and leave a VM. We did, we arrived later in the day to talk to the office to find out if they worked on the air, only to find out no one heard the VM. Fortunately the room was a lot cooler, but by 5:30 in the morning it was warm again. I would not stay there again, I didn't have a pleasant stay as some of the other reviewers.

I had a great experience at this cozy bed and breakfast during my trip to New Orleans. It's located very close to the Saint Charles Street Car line and also walking distance to nice restaurants and the historical mansions in the Garden District. I felt very safe walking around at night and the mansion property was beautiful. The breakfast spread was also very good. :)

We apologize your stay did not meet your expectations... The hot water is functioning since it is an old house sometimes you have to let the hot water run for 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately this is common in New Orleans especially uptown. If you had any concerns we would have been happy to assist you.
