Insanely over priced. Simply not worth it.

This was terrible. I recommend do not go. The front desk lady was rude about everything , $1100.00 per night, no hot water, no water in room, no room service, tiny room, not clean . Went surfing with the hotel trainer and couldn’t even get a late check out for a shower after even though our check in was very late. Horrible x 10 not even a closet

The grounds, room decor and proximity to the ocean are all wonderful. However, there were a couple small issues worth calling out. First, I completely understand it's a challenge to operate under the many restrictions due to COVID and one of the obvious changes is no longer having daily room cleanings to avoid room traffic, but the system Marram is using needs some adjusting. Rather than call the front desk we were given a different number to call for requests. I called twice during our stay. The first time I left a voicemail which was returned within about 20mins, the second time I called to request clean towels and shampoo at around 4PM (again, had to leave a voicemail) never receiving a call back or fresh towels/soap. The second issue was with the bikes. They have many beach comber bikes for guest and it was an easy process to get a helmet and lock code. The bikes are nicely painted but in need of some tuning. The first bike I choose the seat wouldn't stay on, so I picked another. After riding for about 2miles the rusty chain fell off. I had to put it back on at the shoulder of the road and it was clear the bikes are not maintained all that well. The overall stay was great (oh yeah, should mention their food was pricy but excellent), but these small issues sat with me and it didn't help I was charged a daily "resort fee" of $75 yet I cannot get fresh towels. I would recommend staying at Marram and hopefully the operations kinks get worked out.

For $500 a night no tv, no fitness center, no beach passes. REDICULOSS!!!:(

I'm truly sorry to hear that your stay with us fell short of your expectations. It is true that summer hotel rates in Montauk are quite high compared to other destinations. In addition, it is true that we are one of the more expensive hotels in Montauk. We strive to provide a valuable experience for our guests - and I regret that our offerings did not correspond to your needs. With my sincere apologies.

Hi JFT. I am truly sorry to hear that your stay was so disappointing. While it is never easy to read that someone did not enjoy their stay, it is helpful to us (as well as to people considering booking a stay at Marram), and I thank you for sharing your experience. It is true that Montauk summer rates are quite high compared to other markets, and I can certainly understand your frustration if you felt that you were not treated kindly or hospitably. It is also true that during the high season, it is not always possible for us to offer either early check in and/or late checkout to guests who request them. Having said that, we do encourage our guests to enjoy the property prior to checking in and after checking out - and many guests use our outdoor showers and lounge bathrooms to maximize their time at the beach. Regarding the room decor, it is true that our rooms feature an exposed clothes hanging rack, a luggage rack, and a small shelf area in the room credenza for storage - and that we do not have traditional closets in the rooms. Our rooms vary in size - our Dune Queen rooms are the smallest, followed by our Dune Patio King and Oceanview King rooms. All of our other rooms average approximately 380-400 sq feet. While we have temporarily suspended daily housekeeping service for guest rooms as part of our safety plan, we do provide non-contact linen, towel, and amenity exchanges upon request and provide a direct line for our in-house guests to reach us. Again, please accept my sincere regrets that we were unable to provide you with an experience in line with your expectations. We are mindful that the decision to travel at this time is one that is not made lightly, and I can only imagine your frustration, especially within the context of the current crisis. Please accept my sincere best wishes,

Hi John, Thank you for taking the time to share the details of your experience. I am so glad to hear that your overall experience with us was very positive. Please accept my sincere apologies for the issues you encountered with our bikes and the lack of consistency of responding to your bath towel replenishment request. We appreciate your recommendation and are committed to getting "the kinks" worked out. I have shared both of your constructive comments with the team to assist us in making improvements. I am pleased to share that we have already implemented several processes to improve the consistency of our guest request fulfillment. Our bicycles are inspected and repaired daily each morning, and have shared your comments to ensure the team is aware of the issues you encountered. Our resort fee includes complimentary beach and pool towel, chair, and umbrella service, meditation groups, cruiser bikes, nightly fire pits, and complimentary in-room just water, pellegrino, and nespresso . We hope to welcome you back again to Marram. Best wishes,
