Stayed there before the Grandman Triathlon. Great little strict motel. Back up to your door. The beach of the east shore of Mobile Bay is right across the two lane blacktop. with a flippin tiki bar. Great Italian restaurant next door. Beautiful sunset across the bay. What more could you want? A decent room? Check. It was clean, quiet, and dark. Will definitely stay there again unless I purchase nearby property. And that's not likely to happen.

Pros *Really close to beach *Nice walking path *The municipal pier is in walking distance, is really lovely, and goes into the Mobile Bay *Cute seafood restaurant is with in walking distance *The room was very clean. *Really lovely neighborhood, homes around the motel are beautiful and very "sea port" seeming. I wanted to move to Fairhope! Cons *This not a 5-star hotel. This is perhaps a 2-star MOTEL. *The beds are VERY hard. *There is no Continental breakfast or fitness center. *There was a coffee pot and coffee in the room, but no sugar or creamer. *The bathroom was very small, however it was very clean. *No pool

I stayed at baron's, because i was visiting my children (divorced). The outside of the hotel could use some work and is pink. The hotel advertises remodled rooms and they are! Very nice with new furniture, carpeting, crown molding, modern color scheme, clean tiled bathroom with new fixtures. Just a tiny hint of past smokers when you first walk in. Wireless internet was fast but not secure. I was there off season, so not too much to do in that area. I would stay there again.

The motel was old with no amenities. The rooms were minimally clean, and there were no meals - - not even a continental breakfast. The next time we head for the Gulf Shores, we'll stay somewhere only minutes from the beaches.
