We understood this was the Motel 6... not a Hampton or Marriott hotel... but we were more than disappointed with the dirty room and bed bugs. The room did not have carpet, just wood laminate, so the remnants of previous inhabitants were evident. A simple broom or vacuum would have gone a long way. The beds were made, but bedspreads were wrinkly. After the second night, I had insect bites along my arms and neck. I look in the bed to investigate... sure enough, bed bugs, and there were a lot of them in both beds. It was wasy to see them on the white sheets. Beds are uncomfortable and blankets were well-worn. We will not be staying here again. I mentioned the bed bugs upon check out, and the receptionist wrote a note. The other people in the lobby also mentioned dirty/filthy room condition to the receptionist, so I know I wasn't the only one that had this experience.

In the past 20 years of road travel this is the ONLY hotel I have ever checked into, then immediately checked out of. Major concerns of bed and linen cleanliness, flies in the room, odd smears on wall surfaces. I checked out not even caring if I would get a refund. Front desk staff was understanding, offered me a new room (which I declined as I think the cleanliness was not an isolated incident).

Terrible. 6 key cards wouldn't work. Staff came up to use the machine to fix the electronic lock gizmo... nothing. No other rooms available, and it was 1 a.m. traveling with 2 kids. Finally, my husband removed the window screen, opened the window, and put my 11 yr old thru, so she could open the door. Inside, gross pillows and bedspreads. Exhausted, we slept there anyway. Talked to mgr the next morning. He would have liked to have given us a discount (he said), but didn't because we booked thru Orbitz.

we didnt expect alot, as this was a stopover on a road trip. when you get there and there are no necessities like soap, shampoo, pulling back the bed clothes you find hair from previous patrons, you have to pay for ice, and go to the front desk for coffee, we began to think we were at the Bates motel. we will never go to a Motel 6 again.

Arrived and they knew it was me because I had a reservation. Check in was no problem, nice room, good stay. There was a pool that I didn't use, but everything was can and well cared for. I was just passing through and a long drive and this met my needs at a nice price.

bed bugs and dirty floors
