I can’t cover everything, but the staff if just excellent, caring and top notch. The location is excellent. I can’t praise this hotel enough.

Very nice hotel in the city close to various attractions. The hotel is well decorated and has a beautiful main hall when you walk in with a bar. There is a roof top bar and restaurant. The food at the restaurant was great. The staff are friendly, speak English and were always helpful. If you get to choose the club option, do it as it has something to eat away and a decent free bar.

On this trip we stayed two separate times. On both occasions the facilities and the hotel staff were as expected. The concierge for the “Red Level” was especially helpful getting last minute restaurant reservations.

All aspects of our week-long stay met or exceeded our high expectations. Exhausted from a long trip we were allowed to check-in early without additional cost by very friendly staff. The room was routinely serviced more than once a day, with staff always being careful not to be intrusive or disruptive. The Dry bar in the main lobby area is an experience in itself, with welcoming, knowledgeable bartenders and waiters. The (premium) room decor is quite elegant and spacious for two persons.

This hotel is close to everything. Great shopping, eateries, metro station. The lobby is small, and elevators are tiny. Thankfully, the room is reasonably sized and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Very comfortable solid 4.5 star hotel. The only reason for the missing half star is no extensive spa or pool. But the hotel is great location of restaurants shopping. Very convenient to some of the best tourist spots

This was our second time at the Gran Melia Fenix and we loved it. Our experience began with a very accomodating front desk staff which allowed us to have our room when we arrived four hours before the standard check-in time. We found ourselves in a classically decorated room that was spacious and smelled clean and fresh. A variety of delicious coffee was available on a daily basis and toiletries were fancy and plentiful. We were late raisers (the comfortable bedding and quietness were mostly responsible for it) and the cleanign staff quickly adjusted to our schedule and our room was always cleaned when we returned late at night. The Melia has a first rate popular bar that serves delicious mojitos and a high end restaurant with a varied menu. The area was beautiful and the location was perfect as we walked to most of Madrid's famous musems and excellent restaurants and did great shopping. We definitively recommend this five star hotel.

The Hotel is very conveniently located in the center, and is a very prominent good looking building. The staff were very friendly helpful and efficient. We had a premium room on the Red level which has its own concierge and a lounge where you can have drinks, snacks and breakfast. it was very convenient. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated with very comfortable furniture and bedding. Service was excellent.

Great place to stay! It was in a great location and rooms are very cute. It almost felt like we were in our own little apartment. The room shades could make the room so dark that we had amazing nights of sleep. We loved the towel warmer in the bath.

While not spectacular, Gran Melia Fenix was unique, and enjoyable for our brief stay in Madrid.

I was given a choice when we first arrived to stay in a room with a better view, which was not important to me...but if I were told how small the room was I would have considered an upgrade. Other than that it was perfect.

This hotel is close to everything. Great shopping, eateries, metro station. The lobby is small, and elevators are tiny. Thankfully, the room is reasonably sized and comfortable. I would stay here again.
