I don't know if it was the whole property or just our room, but it seems like La Quinta really cut corners on recent bathroom renovations. Our toilet seat literally fell off and the toilet paper holder was installed haphazardly. In addition, one of the elevators was extremely dirty and the other wasn't much better. A lot of roughed up walls and messiness. My wife was also awakened by what she says sounded like someone being arrested in the lobby area. Not the safest feeling to have while on a hotel stay.

After being price-gouged for a family weekend at Texas Tech (four times the normal rate, plus a two-night minimum), my family entered a filthy hotel room. The toilet had dried vomit from the seat to floor, a large brown substance caked on the floor, greasy black handprints on the wall, and fingerprints all over the mirrors and television. The counters were clearly not wiped down and dust collected on the lamps. The carpet had not been vacuumed. The beds were made and towels/toiletries were in the bathroom. I cannot understand how the other filth could have been overlooked. I contacted housekeeping, but I still purchased my own cleaning supplies and did a once-over before feeling comfortable. If I could have moved hotels, I would have. Unfortunately, the busy weekend left no vacancies and we had no other options but to stay. I will strongly discourage anyone from staying at LaQuinta Lubbock!

Generally not clean-looking. The room was dusty. Entire food pantry area in the lobby was empty - their shipment supposedly hadn’t come that week. Not even bottled water. “Continental breakfast” included stale bagels, old pastries. Just poorly done, unfortunately, all around.

Nice clean hotel with a friendly staff.

The property is very convenient to the university. I'll be traveling to Lubbock frequently in the coming years and wanted a hotel I could stay at routinely. Nice price and doable if you're staying one night. Breakfast is awful and they put me in a handicapped room for some reason, which was really inconvenient. Very friendly staff, but I think I'll find another place for subsequent trips.

Had stay at this property previously and was better. Has went downhill.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean room. I cannot speak to the amenities, as we didn't use any (pool was closed, but that didn't affect us). I would stay here again without hesitation.

Not enough parking!!breakfast was terrible!

The property appeared to be in good condition and well maintained upon arrival. Parking was a nightmare - lot was full. We were told we would have to park in a nearby hospital parking lot because the hotel lot was full - or we could hop a curb and park in the grass - and hope we wouldn't get towed - we opted to hop the curb since we had valuables (our daughter's college belongings). The hotel was dirty - the restroom in the lobby had no TP and there was vomit in the sink. The worst was the noise - our room was on the 6th floor and we could literally hear conversations happening in the lobby, phones ringing, elevators binging....terrible. The pillows were awful - felt like they were filled with plastic. Never staying there again while in Lubbock.

After six hours of driving, the check in process was quick and easy super friendly

Friendly staff and very close to the TTU. The breakfast wasn't very good--rock hard bagels and on both mornings they ran out of coffee. They seemed understaffed, like everyone else. I'd stay there again.

My room was not ready when I went to check in at 6pm. 3rd party vendor attempted to call hotel and was hung up on x3 times. Once the room was ready, the shower had hair on the tub. Not sure that the room was actually cleaned from previous customer.

Nice and clean. Property was reasonable you could see some wear on elevators but the room was clean

Rooms were large and pretty clean. No housekeeping due to COVID-19, but staff was quick to replace towels or linens if you wanted to change them out.

The hotel was very nice and clean. I enjoyed my stay there.
