The staff were rude and rigid and have poor customer service skills ! Not impressed. And overly priced

Great location, excellent staff, lovely decor. Close to trains

We loved the Rathbone- great location and easy access to sites. We managed to get an upgrade to a deluxe club room and the extra space was great. Staff friendly and helpful and nice small bar in lobby. Your “local” is just out the door (Prince of York)-

The hotel had a Friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were Clean and comfortable.

I reserved a single room as a solo traveler. The staff was friendly and efficient. They assisted me with directions and ordered a taxi for me to attend the theater. They also served food and bevereages which were tasty and reasonably priced. The room was small by most US standards, but only slightly smaller than a double in NYC. It was cleaned daily. The full size bed was comfortable with four pillows. The bathroom was small and needed a little maintenace, but it was clean. The hotel is located on a little one-way side street, across from a pedestrian way that contained several little restaurants. There were pubs across the street and around the corner. Its central location in London places it within walking distance of museums/monuments, theaters, and shopping, but the neighborhood does not feel touristy. I did not have any safety concerns or issues other than the general precautions which should be taken when traveling. I would stay here again.

Excellent location. Very friendly staff, always smiling and greeting you. Cozy atmosphere. Excellent temperature control in room. Decent sized room for central London.

Lovely hotel in a good area. Staff are an absolute gem!

Great location, clean room, has what you need to be comfy. Room is not huge, but it has everything important you need for a great experience in London.

I arrived early in the morning after a red eye, and the front desk staff did what they could to quickly get me a room. There's a popular pub next to the hotel that gets a bit loud at night, so you may want a room on the other side. Overall, a nice stay in a convenient location.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Rathbone. I was flying in to see a show in the West End, so this location was perfect, but it is also really close to a Tube station that can get you anywhere you need to go. I enjoy walking, and this location is "walking distance" from many major attractions, as long as you need to get in some serious steps (like I do), and Tube proximate if you want to get there quicker. The area is filled with amazing little restaurants and cafes and the pubs in the area are fantastic!!! Great vibe, great area, great staff, great stay!!!!

We had an extra person staying with us at last moment and the hotel staff seemed annoyed and unwilling to help. They ended up charging us $9 more than they said they would to add a person to the room and give us a bed that ended up breaking midway through the evening. Would not recommend if you're looking for friendly, flexible stays.

I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times, and that is what keeps me returning. The location is a short walk to Oxford Street and the staff is hospitable and accommodating. The hotel is very well managed. There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, and easy walking to a Tesco grocery market if you need it.

Hotel was nice but, ludicrous to be charged 22 pounds for two day use of wi-fi, esp. when most establishments today offer internet access for free (even our local coffee shops do not charge!)

I travelled to London with a friend and the Rathbone was an excellent hotel choice. The location was excellent; close to multiple underground stations, buses, restaurants, pubs and shopping. Charlotte St and the surrounding has many restaurant options and we had wonderful coffee and breakfast at the Lantana cafe only moments away. The staff was helpful and the room was very clean. We didn't try the breakfast at the Rathbone and our only negative comment is that there was no free wi-fi.

Really enjoyed my stay. A great hotel situated in what has to be the heart of London. I was able to walk anywhere I needed to go, from the British Museum to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. So many London sites were a stroll away. Also in the middle of great shopping, pubs and restaurants, from the inexpensive to the more upscale. Would definitely stay there again. It was also in the chic, hip and trendy Soho district, so a night life was within walking distance as well. Great location and wonderful, helpful staff made this a good stay.

I had a great experience at the Rathbone. I do not have any complaints.

Overall a nice experience. The room was very tiny but I traveled alone wasn't in the room much so not an issue. I book two breakfasts but went to one and was charged for the second for some reason. Not cool. Wifi wasn't free but was expensive, just cut the price in half and add it to the price of the room. I mean McDs and Starbucks has free wifi. Even the airport has a free 45min wifi. The other reviews were actually pretty much all accurate. The staff were all nice and polite like the other reviews say. I went to Burger King today and the staff acted like they didn't want a job so kindness friendliness does matter. Keep it up. The room did seem long in the tooth like another reviewer said but it was clean and comfortable. One thing that bothered me was the space between the door and floor. There was like a gap. I don't know if all the rooms were like that but I didn't like that. At night I mean the hallway lights were pretty bright it looks like some sort of alien movie, lol. Sound travels by air right? Well I can hear people in the hallway from that gap. I'd fix that knock the presentation down a bit. I mean if the gap was completely straight across then I would think "O thats just the way the rooms or doors are". But it curved so looked like something was wrong. Hotel stinking in or something. Again good positive experience with the hotel. I guess I would go back and recommend to others. Perfectly fine place to stay but I could lean toward another hotel if they had free wifi. Thumbs up from me.

The hotel has a very nice location -- a 10-20 minute walk to theaters, museums, Covent Garden, book stores, shopping, Soho, Chinatown -- and a helpful staff. My single room was small (I'd say standard European), with a shower but no tub, but clean and comfortable, about what I expected for the price I paid. My biggest complaint was noise in the late evening: there are several nearby pubs, and a lot of sound comes in on Friday and Saturday nights, even with the windows closed. The wireless connection was also outrageously expensive, and not very fast. Overall, I might look around for a different hotel my next time in London, but I certainly wouldn't mind coming back.
