I stayed at the Cumberland couple of times but this time is very disappointed. I first got a room that the lights was making clicking noise every five seconds. Staffs changed my room but the second room have a side sloped ceiling, every time I need to get to the work desk I need to curves my body to one side. Elevator is very confusing and slow. Not coming back for sure.

Stayed at Cumberland Hotel for past 15+ years. Lately 17-20 April during major conversion to Hard Rock Hotel. Cheerfully put up with climbing stairs to room via circuitous routes changed daily; cling-filmed carpets and other inconveniences during renovations when assured that the new look would be worth it. Booked for 3-6 May. At no point was I told I'd be in the 'Boutique' Great Cumberland Hotel nearby in a different building. (The same entrance we had to use and hike underground to the reception area the month before.) No service. No restaurant. Very little other than a somewhat 3rd class room. Dreadfully disappointed.

Great location, good sized rooms, and clean. A little on the expensive side however

We might stay again in this hotel, hopefully they will improve the service.

Rooms are exceptionally small and have significant signs of wear, water damage and stains. Stains on everything. I have no idea how this hotel has managed to maintain its star rating.

Plus. The Deluxe King room was a good size for Central London. Well located right next to Marble Arch Tube. In the heart of things. Beds comfortable. Room was large enough for a rollaway bed too. Great location. Would stay again. Just eat out. Negative. Room service was extremely slow and on several occasions our food arrived cold. That when you could actually reach someone. Check out was a nightmare. We waited 30 min for an elevator to get to the lobby only to find a que of maybe 60 people trying to check out. We called for express check out but still needed to see reception to ensure the cold food delivered was removed from our bill.

The Cumberland was very convenient for us. With the Marble Arch Underground literally at the corner of the hotel, we were able to get everywhere we needed (including Wembley Stadium for the Seahawks NFL game) with great ease. Although we walked through scaffolding to get into the lobby, we never saw anything on our floor and enjoyed a great night's sleep the entire time.

excellent location! and very friendly staff. Nice ....................................................................................

People were cool and the hotel looked nice. The A/C went out our first night so there were a few hot nights. At least we could open the windows.

My flight arrived early on my check in day. I traveled wiith my husband and 2 children. After flying for almost 11 hrs we were exhausted. As soon as I arrived at the hotel the doorman welcome me and my family with a big smile. I was ready to leave my luggage in storage but the friendly front desk attendant saw how exhausted we looked and told us we can check into our room immediately and that we were being upgraded to a suite with a living room and kitchen. The suite was huge clean and impeccably clean. Because of this we were able to freshen up and explore London right away!!! The hop on hop off red bus was 1 block away. We took the subway station from the airport to the hotel it is 1 block away too!! There’s a lot of good places to eat and shop too in the area.

Seemed a lot quieter this time. The front desk ladies were amazing and very helpful.

Our stay was on a very warm spell in April. For three nights, we had no air conditioning and our room was hot. We asked for ice several times before it arrived. Maintenance was also called many times. Not happy

Front desk not friendly, I asked to get a higher floors because I need a quiet room, he refused to help me, I went to Concierge to asks to speaks to the manager, he was able to get me to a higher floor, they have fire drill every Monday and alarm will went off, it would be nice if they front desk will tell the customer when they checked in so they don’t freaked out. I didn’t know... it scared the xxxx outta me. When I checked out I told the front desk as well, she said they have signs on the elevator. Come one if the elevator are super busy and have a lot of people who have the time to check out your small sign? I didn’t asked for morning calls but I got a morning call at 6am.. come on!! Bathroom is small, the sink is sticking out.. so you will hit yourself when you are trying to get to the toilet. Bed is comfortable and pillows are nice and fluffy which is a plus. Poor WiFi !! I think they are doing renovations so you will hear drilling and banging on the wall 9am sharp! Elevators are slow and long waiting.

When we arrived they told us the hotel was fully booked and moved us to another building, "a better one". The room was underground and the only view was a wall. We came back and after we insisted they "found" a room (surprise!!) in the main building. Not a great beginning.
