Location is everything important when travelling and hotel maxime has it all: one block off the main avenida/promenade's deeply shaded walkways to metro and hop on n off buses awaiting the tourists in need of orientation to lisbon's city districts. The hotel plays off its history as the original cabaret for this city-,lobby/bar decor and rooms play off this historic decor. The staff is uniformly wonderful and assistative. The breakfasts included in room costs, are a wonderful buffet. If staying over a weekend, decide to enjoy their candlelite, white linen table gourmet dinner and cabaret show-a little campy of course, but hugely entertaining and that's why we all travel-to experience new things!! Go enjoy!
